Windows 10 Anniversary Update not only mirrors Android notifications, but lets you interact with them too [VIDEO]

A few days ago, Microsoft revealed that the upcoming Windows 10 Anniversary Update would support notification mirroring for Android devices. This magic is made possible with Action Center in the cloud and Cortana for Android, giving users the ability to, not only view and dismiss Android notifications on their desktop — after which the changes will be synced across your Android devices — but you can interact with them too, replying to messages straight from the notifications that appear in Windows 10.

To better illustrate this powerful new feature, MSPowerUser has provided a video demo showing exactly how it works on multiple devices including Android. They best part is developers wont even have to implement any new features into their apps, it’s already baked in and automatically supported. In other words: it just works. For a look at the demo, check out the video above (the fun starts at around the 16:30 mark).

With the world’s most popular desktop OS supporting the world’s most popular mobile OS, Microsoft is proving they really are a force to be reckoned with. The question is, how much longer before Apple finally gives in and starts supporting Android devices with similar apps and services? We’re sure there are more than a few OSX users who own Android devices (this writer being one of them).
