In the 11+ years we’ve been covering Android we’ve seen a lot of terrible smartphone destruction. Everything from blenders, chainsaws, high drops, cars, guns, and more. People are constantly thinking of news ways to destroy devices for the entertainment of others. The latest innovation in smartphone destruction is a 400-ton hydraulic press. This is going to hurt.

Back in the day, David Letterman would crush things with an 80-ton hydraulic press on Late Night. It was great fun to watch. Today, the folks at SlickWraps have taken the idea to new heights. They crushed a Samsung Galaxy S7 under a 400-ton hydraulic press. The results are both horrific and amazing.

It’s crazy how the phone seemingly explodes under the immense pressure. You can even see fluids leaking out of the device. Needless to say, you don’t want your hand anywhere near that machine. Luckily, you shouldn’t have to worry about your phone accidentally being crushed by 400 tons. No amount of rice in a bowl can fix that.
