Android Marshmallow began rolling out to Android Wear watches a couple of weeks ago. The main features of this update are a couple of new wrist gestures, which we showed you in our hands-on video. So far, Motorola watches have been getting the update, but the popular Huawei Watch is still lagging behind. A new report suggests that will change soon.
The report comes from an unofficial Huawei blog. They claim the Android Wear 1.4 (Marshmallow) update will arrive on Monday, February 29th. Marshmallow includes a few extra features for the Huawei Watch, thanks to the built-in speaker. After the update, you’ll be able to listen to music, take calls, and more right from your wrist. The smartwatch just got a lot smarter.
Once again, this report is from an unofficial source, so take it with a grain of salt. That being said, with a bunch of devices already receiving the update, it wouldn’t be too far-fetched for the Huawei Watch to be next in line. We’ll wait and see next Monday. How many of you have the Huawei Watch? Are you excited for these new features?
