Some T-Mobile LG G4 owners reportedly updating to Marshmallow using LG’s desktop software

0

The official T-Mobile Software Updates page might not show anything yet, but it appears an update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow is finally ready for the LG G4 (H811). Well, sort of. A few G4 owners on T-Mobile noticed that, after physically plugging into the computers via LG’s Bridge PC software, they were able to check and install an update to Marshmallow on their device.

We’ve never used the software before, but if it’s going to give you early access to an update not officially being pushed out by T-Mobile yet — it might be worth it. Then again, you could find all sorts of bugs and other issues after updating, so if you’re not too keen on the idea of experiencing any of that, you may just want to wait for the official rollout to begin over-the-air. You know, after it’s been green lit by T-Mobile.
