Android 6.0 Marshmallow soak test could be headed out to the Moto G 3rd Gen

moto g soak test 1New reports are coming in that folks on the Moto G 3rd Gen are starting to see a soak test for Android 6.0 Marshmallow. One Google+ user claims that his friend received the goods earlier today, showing a build number of 24.11.3.en.03 and listing Android Marshmallow under the highlights section.

We’re not sure whether to believe the report just yet as we aren’t able to verify ourselves, however it’d be really strange to see the Moto G getting a soak test before the newly-launched Moto X Pure Edition gets a taste. If you don’t remember, a select group of owners of that phone started getting Marshmallow, but Motorola was hesitant even to call it a soak test — instead, they considered it a “test drive.”

We’re not sure which side of the testing scale the Moto G’s new update would sit on, but we’d be really surprised to see it get Marshmallow before the Moto X gets its shot. If you have a Moto G 3rd Gen and were able to receive the soak test be sure to let us know below!
