The BlackBerry Priv cometh. It’s probably one of the more intriguing Android devices to launch this year and on November 6th, it officially begins shipping to pre-orders. That’s exactly one week away (the same day the new Grimes album drops) and if you were looking to pick up the device or just drool over the thing, BlackBerry is showing off some of the phone’s main features in a new YouTube video.
The first covers more software features like BlackBerry Hub, Pop-up Widgets, smart slide, flick to type word prediction, and improved security. The other video is just a simple black and white teaser that, quite frankly, is a little on the boring side. It’s artsy and drives home the fact that “PRIV” stands for “privacy”.
At $700, the BlackBerry Priv will be one of the more expensive Android handsets on the market. But it’s also all business. With top notch hardware, a physical slide out keyboard, it’s sure to stand out in a sea of iPhone clones. The only downside is its rumored to be an AT&T exclusive, although the model BlackBerry is offering should also play nice with T-Mobile. Anyone wishing BlackBerry would bring the Priv on over to their carrier?
