The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is finally receiving its first update. The unlocked model is being updated with some minor improvements and a new App Optimization section in the Settings. This update is 138.14MB and brings the Edge+ up to build number G928GDDU2AOJ5. It has already started rolling out in India, and has started in Europe model as well.

The App Optimization section appears to be a modified version of the Smart Manager feature. It used to allow users to make apps stop running after 10 minutes, but now it simply says that an app will be “optimized.” It’s still killing apps, which we always say is a bad thing, but they changed the language. We doubt this change brings any real improvements to battery life. Let us know if your unlocked Edge+ has received the update!
