Motorola Moto G 2015 3rd Gen

You know we’re getting close to the launch of the Motorola Moto G 2015 when press renders of the device are leaked online. This time, the good folks at TechnoBuffalo are doing the honors, giving us our clearest look yet at the device before it’s officially unveiled. The updated aesthetics look nice enough, with the Moto G

Allegedly going by the codename “Osprey” and carrying  model XT1540, the updated Moto G aesthetics look nice enough, with the came and “M” logo dimple accentuated by a piece of plastic reminiscent of an LG device or the ASUS ZenFone 2. Unfortunately, we didn’t get any confirmation on the device’s internal hardware, although we’re hearing a higher res camera, Snapdragon 410 processor, and slightly beefier battery will round out improvements for the 2015 model.

What do you guys think?

I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.

  1. Please include LTE this go around…and in the first iteration please. Also, band 12 & wifi calling support.

    1. LoL it’s Motorola prepare to be disappointed.

  2. Looks a lot like the photoshopped OnePlus 2 lol

  3. meh…. but the stolen LG divot is a good call as I find that finger area to be so useful and logical.

  4. It must be National Fugly Render Day……..

  5. This better have NFC this time. Even $99 Kyocera phones have NFC.

  6. I’d kind of prefer a snapdragon 618 in there, but 410 would be more common for what that price range has seen. Really just wish they’d announce it already so I can make sure it has all the LTE bands I need, and make sure the price and specs seem reasonable.

  7. This sucks monkey ? balls period

    1. So do your comments.

  8. It will be interesting to see what they do this year. There’s a lot more pressure at the lower end of the pricing spectrum this go around. Of course Motorola’s name still carries some weight in the phone arena that ASUS doesn’t

  9. Nice looking phone but it would be better if the speaker grills are closer to top and bottom edges sort of like on the Surface Pro 3. And, improve the bar on the back or remove it altogether to keep the back clean.

  10. There’s too much competition in the mid range market, it’s become saturated as hardware is cheaper now more companies can compete with low price & high sales. I can no longer easily recommend Moto due to missing LTE bands, taking their time with OG updates, the small internal storage space, and not providing a charger (OG G).

  11. wow nice phone with low price….i want to buy this phone
