The Amazon Fire TV is a very capable companion for your home entertainment center, but if you’ve been on the fence about buying one perhaps the company’s latest deal is enough to push you over. You can grab one for $15, making it just $84 to have on shipped right to your doorstep.

Amazon’s also giving you a reason to consider grabbing a Sling TV subscription for $20 per month by giving you a free Fire TV Stick or $50 off the Amazon Fire TV if you opt for it. The subscription comes with unlimited access to live television on any device that supports the Sling TV app. Yes, that includes the Android phone or tablet you likely already own.

We took a look at Sling TV while it was in beta, and while its roster of channels is a bit slim right now for $20 the service itself proved quite exceptional. There are optional channel packages you can add for $5 each if you’re interested.

It’s a great alternative for cord cutters who don’t like the hassles of maintaining a cable TV package but still wouldn’t mind paying for premium content. Check out the offer at Amazon right here, and if it doesn’t sound like something you’d get value out of then you can find the standalone $15 off deal for the Amazon Fire TV right here.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. First paragraph, discount and price is flipped.
“The Amazon Fire TV…You can grab one for $15…” Ugh no.

  2. I friggen love sling tv

  3. You might think that you can buy SlingTV for one month, cancel it and effectively get $30 off of the Fire TV. Unfortunately, the deal requires you to buy 3 months of Sling and then you will be able to redeem the $50 coupon code.

I tried out SlingTV for the 7 day period and couldn’t justify the $20 monthly recurring cost since I really don’t care about ESPN.

  4. I love sling TV but I also love ESPN and watch it all the time. I have the base package and I occasionally will watch travel channel, food network, adult swim, or tbs. Everything else is just there. Honestly though the ESPN stuff makes it worth it by itself. I’ll be picking up PlayStation Vue when that releases as well.

  5. $20.00 a Month. Really? I pay $8.50 a month for Amazon Prime. I pay $8.00 a month for Netflix, Total $16.50 a month. Someone at SlingTV Please tell me how you justify your price for 6 to 8 channels and $5.00 a channel per month to add another channel. Oh never mind everyone knows the answer.
