Samsung Upacked March 1st Galaxy S6 Edge

And there it is, folks. After months of speculation (and a tip early this morning), we’ve just received an invite to attend Samsung’s March 1st Unpacked event in Barcelona, where they’ll finally unveil “what’s next” (hint: the Samsung Galaxy S6 and probably the Samsung Galaxy Edge). Really, the teaser doesn’t reveal too much, but if the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is any indication, that curved line looks like it could be a side profile view of the rumored Samsung Galaxy Edge.

Rumored Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge specs:

  • 5.1 inch 2560 x 1440 display (double curved edges for the Edge)
  • Samsung Exynos Octa-Core chipset
  • 3GB of RAM
  • 20.0MP rear camera, 5.0MP front camera
  • 2550 mAh non-removable battery
  • Android 5.0 Lollipop and the latest version of TouchWiz

Festivities kick off at 6:30PM CET and for those of you that wont be attending, you can watch the entire live stream from the comfort of your couch on Samsung Mobile’s YouTube channel right here.

So. Freakin’. Hyped.

  1. I have a positive outlook on this years release. I think they learned a little last year. Lets step it up a little Samsung.

    1. Honestly the only thing they are going to change is the material used from polycarbonate (plastic) to metal. Personally I think the Note 4 struck gold with its design, with the metal edges and plastic back (allows for exchangeable battery).

      1. The #Note is the best phone they have ever made. I think the S6 will be similar

  2. S6 or M9, S6 or M9.. what’s it going to be. For me, right now, M9 “speculations” are pulling me in that direction. But in about a month, I will know for sure what my next phone will be.

    I’m pumped.

    1. You and me both, can’t wait!

    2. No consideration for LG G4? I know it comes out later. Hopefully it’ll still have a large removable battery along with micro SD card support. I’m hoping two variants for storage. 32GB (3GB RAM) & 64GB (4GB RAM)
NO STYLUS!!! NO FRIGGIN STYLUS!!!! #STYLUSFREELG

      1. Just too late for me as I need to move based on MWC releases. I need a new phone 4 months ago and thought it would be the Z3 until I realized the Verizon Z3v was not a Z3 and the pulled a switcheroo, so I have been waiting long enough.

    3. M9 for me please

  3. This, M9, or G4….judging from how sweet the g3 was I’m wanting to wait for the g4 release.

  4. Its just a phone you nerds! Lol

  5. Should be a good event this year. To wait till note 5, or not to wait. I’ve been tossing around the idea of going back to a regular phone from my note but idk. Oh and that’s 12:30 est for anyone that cares. :)

  6. I’m staying optimistic….I think I’m pretty stoked about this year and what phones are going to be released. Its really going to be hard to pick one for an upgrade.

  7. Samsung just killed the little momentum HTC had with this same day announcement. The #S6 will be the talk of the week, and probably will be the hit between the two! Bye bye HTC, sweet dreams….

    1. Even though htc will probably be the better phone of the 2 as its the case now

      1. How is HTC phones better than Samsung’s again?

  8. Someone made this concept according to the teaser. It looks very probable actually.
