It’s been a long time coming. Ever since getting a firsthand look at the Motorola Moto 360 during the Google I/O developer conference, we’ve done nothing but drool over its premium materials and fashionable circular watch face. But today marks the day you can finally spend your hard earned money towards your very own.

Motorola has just announced that starting at 9AM PT/11PM CT/12PM ET, the Moto 360 will officially go on sale for $250 at the following online retailers:

For the time being, this means you can pick up the smartwatch in either a black frame with black leather or silver frame with gray leather either direct from Motorola’s site, the Google Play Store, or online at BestBuy.com. Motorola mentions that the smartwatch modern timepiece will also be available in-store at select Best Buy locations, so you might want to check availability before making the drive to your nearest location.

If the premium Horween leather bands don’t quite get your motor running, the waiting isn’t over yet. Remember those metal bands Motorola was showing off in that GIF? Well, Motorola will be releasing two titanium metal options later this fall for $299.99 from the same locations. Should you decide to jump on the smartwatch right now, the metal bands will also be available separately for $79.99 at that same time, along with leather bands for $29.99.

Where’s my free Moto 360 from Google I/O 2014?

Unfortunately for Google I/O attendees anxiously awaiting the arrival of their free smartwatches, Motorola tells us the availability of those models is in the hands of Google (not Motorola). It would have been a privacy concern to share contact information of Google IO attendees with Motorola without prior written consent. We were told Motorola has already shipped Moto 360 units directly to Google for their eventual enjoyment by 2014 I/O attendees.

Your move, Googs.

Will you be buying the Moto 360 today? If so, which color option will you be opting for?

Ever since I flipped open my first phone I've been obsessed with the devices. I've dabbled in other platforms, but Android is where I feel most at home.

  1. So, is there a legitimate reason that Moto waited till 2am to reveal some of their most exciting products of the year? J/w.

    1. Just to F with us techies who are sitting at home waiting for that buy button to appear (x
Or maybe to get all the media to go crazy over night/ tomorrow so when the consumers wake up the Internets will be buzzing about it

    2. Because they wanted it to be timed properly for their biggest market overseas for their biggest selling device: the Moto G. That’s what they said over on Droid Life.

  2. HELL YEAH! im waking up early to call every damn bestbuy in the state of georgia i WILL find you moto360

    1. Yessir!

  3. I want the all metal one. I’m relegated to the wait…

    …again…

    1. I do too, but I’m gonna just buy the leather one and then buy the band separately when released. I’ll take the $30 hit. Tired of waiting.

      1. I’m going for the black(ish?) one. I don’t want to take a hit for a band that I’ll never use. I read somewhere, just this morning, that you can swap on a standard watch band so, I’ll try that at a later time, instead.

Hoping that one of the Best Buy units between McDonough and Morrow has the 360 available. I REALLY want to take a closer look at it.

        1. I’m hoping my local Best Buy has it too, because I don’t want to wait on shipping. After finally finding a few pics online, I decided on the silver. I love the look of the black face with the black leather band. But I know i’m going to switch it out for metal, and I like the silver metal band better.

    2. Which metal one do you want? I’m still debating.

  4. Finally, and I think you meant 11 AM Central Time.

  5. I hope this includes Canadian Play store too.

  6. I hate the fact the screen is completely off by default. Moto made such a big deal about making this a great timepiece, but is the only OEM who decided to ditch the low powered always on screen. I know you can turn on the Ambient Sensor and that will dim the screen and display time, but if they are that concerned with battery life they should have put a bigger one inside or something.

  7. This is why i love best buy. They never seem to listen lol. Just bought my 360 at their online store BEFORE the official time of 11 am CT. GET IT WHILE ITS HOT!!!!

    1. where? i don’t see the 360 on the website at all

      1. That’s strange. I got my confirmation email and everything. Ill attach a pic in a sec. Let me take off my personal info

        1. Same. Where is it?

      2. Here you go. I just checked and it says it’s available?

        1. Can you link us? I’d love to check it out, and see locations that are going to stock them.

edit- I can’t even see the SKU on bestbuy.com

          1. worked for me! thanks!!!

          2. guys just type in the best buy sku# that he has on his confirmation page into the best buy search….8307152

Google Play still has stock available. Just bought mine from there

  8. Remember to buy two.

    One for the morning.

    One for the afternoon.

    ;-)

  9. I was waiting for this, hoping that the face dead zone was just a product of a developmental prototype & hoping that the thing was at least stainless steel. Oh well… I mean, if I am going to compromise, the I might as well with for the round LG, or even the newest Galaxy Gear S, though I am more than a little put off by Sammy’s usual inclusion of a stupid home button… 2″ to 12.2″, they love that dang home button. Aside from that though, the S Gear looks nice & it’s slightly curved screen makes it look just a bit more like a watch.

  10. I will be waiting for more reviews and hands on plus the zen watch is looking better at the lower price but it is thinner than the 360.

  11. Dont “need” one.. been watchless for 10yrs now.. but will be interesting to see what Apple come up with..

    1. Have you seen the leaks of the proposed square iWatch? It’s absolutely awful looking. I find that, and the square android ones ugly. The 360 is the first one I’ve liked, but I’d really like to see it in person first.

      1. Those are not “leaks” but fanboy renderings based on theories.. There hasnt been a proper leak of the so called iWatch yet.

  12. Any news on what shipping courier was used to ship the units to I/O attendees?

    1. I think you are assuming they have even been shipped. Given that the deadline for responding to the address verification email they sent out in August was sept 5th. I am betting they end up shipping on monday.
