The Walking Dead game Android

After winning 90 “Game of the Year” awards, Telltale Game’s The Walking Dead Season 1 is now officially available for Android devices. The game, which plays more like a choose your own adventure, is set in the same world as the TV show, just with a new cast of character playing out the apocalypse on your smartphone or tablet.

Season 1 takes place in 5 parts, with Telltale throwing in the first episode for free, with 2-5 and the 400 Days episode available via in-app purchase for $5 each. If you’re on the fence, keep in mind this game is intense, and it most certainly will mess with your emotions. We’ll leave it at that (no spoilers). All that’s left now is the recently released Season 2. Download link and trailer provided below.

  1. Ive had this on my Kindle Fire for a month now. Arent they both technically Android ?

    1. Yes, that is accurate. Amazon just uses their skin on top of Android – similar to other OEMs (HTC, Samsung, LG, etc). However, the two app stores are entirely different.

  2. No ART support. :-(

    1. ART provides virtually zero potential gains as it stands currently. I’m not sure what is the current obsession with folks using ART, but you’re just wasting your time.

      1. ART pre-compiles all apps, such that they launch instantly vs JIT with dalvik, and the difference is quite noticeable. You also get measurably better battery savings with ART, so it’s not ZERO gains.

That said, I switched back to dalvik on my Note3 after a month of ART, simply because I got tired of roughly 1 in 50 apps not working properly. Not ready for primetime until the next Android version.

  3. I may have to cop. Already completed on the vita but this game is dope.

    1. what Marvin responded I am inspired that people able to get paid $9298 in 1 month on the computer . check my source

  4. $5 per episode, that’s $20 -$25 total. There needs to be some discount for users who have already paid for this on some other platform

    1. You can pay $15 for the season pass, which includes all episodes and the DLC.

    2. Users will just end up obtaining the game elsewhere.

Buying the same game for multiple platforms, I don’t think so.

  5. Bout time! Too much money for season 1 though. Especially since I already got it for xbox

  6. I’m just over here patiently awaiting Season 2.

  7. Wow this game is amazing and I’m hooked. Feels a bit like The Last of Us and I love it. Don’t know if I’m answering questions right though.

  8. played it on IOS i have to say its definitely worth the money… season 2 is great bugt could be …better but still worth playing…. the wolf among us is also pretty good so hopefully that will come on over as well

  9. What took so long?

If you haven’t already played this it’s a must download, i’m just a little concerned about how much it’s going to cost to play the whole season.

    “In-app purchases”

We will see but whenever you see this you know your going to get burnt or end up very disappointed.

  10. Better late than never I guess.
