Tired of all the information about the OnePlus One being revealed little by little? Tired of not having seen the device at all? Well, the infant manufacturer has delivered a bit of a pick-me-up this morning — the wait won’t be for much longer. OnePlus has announced that they will be fully unveiling the OnePlus One on April 23rd, 2014.

That’s just a bit over a month from now, but we’ve waited this long for all the official details, and I’m sure we can hold out just a bit longer. What we already know about the OnePlus One has us excited. Here are the early specs we’re told to look forward to:

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 801
  • 3,100mAh battery with QuickCharge (charges to 75% in 30 minutes)
  • 5.5-inch 1080p HD display
  • 13 megapixel f/2.0 Sony EXMOR camera with 4K video recording
  • Custom version of CyanogenMod with touchless controls

All of this is supposed to be coming to us for under $400, though an exact price point has yet to be formally determined. The OnePlus One is looking to arrive in Q2 2014, so prepare those wallets if this is shaping up to be a device you can see yourself walking around with.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. They’ll call it the one + 1 lol might as well call it the 2 :0 lol I know bad joke

    1. Htc couldnt call there new phone htc one+ because OnePlus trademarked One+ (Oneplus) htc got taught lesson lol

  2. This is really almost like a premium nexus. I’d probably jump on it if I used my camera more.

    1. Exactly! That’s why I’m interested in this phone.

  3. I am patiently waiting on this phone. If it delivers as promised I will be jumping all over this and telling all my following about this exciting phone as most people knows nothing about this. Take my money now!!

    P.s. I will also accept a free one!! :-)

    1. Pretty much same here. Really looking forward to it. : P

    2. I like the idea of having a phone that not too many others carry.

      1. There is something appealing about being on the leading edge of mobile device usage now that they’re so common.

  4. Really looking forward to this device. Though I don’t know if I want to give up my Nexus 5 for the One+. I would be missing out on early updates, wireless changing(maybe), awesome development support, etc. The one thing I don’t want to give up is wireless charging, love the convenience and I have invested to much in the technology to go without it. Anyone know how the One+ will handle updates? Does it all depend on the carrier? Nightly’s? Or do carriers require OTA updates? Hopefully this device stops by T-Mobile.

    1. It will not be sold on any carrier and updates will come from cyanogenmod.

    2. OneuPlus One will have custom versioof cyanogenmod installed. Cyanogenmod have confirmed 2years regular over the air uodates. Plus fans will contribute long after that. Cyanogenmod has a big coder community :)

  5. there is just no way this device will be ≈<$400…Is going to be made out of Rubber? cardboard? is the screen going to be plastic? I just dont see it unless they break even or lose money on each device… this is something I can't wait to see!!!! but I am a bit skeptical.

    1. The company is set up to not expect a profit for two years. Their best hope is to break even.

Get ready to get a whole lot for a lot less!

      1. Less is more, bitches!

    2. OnePlus main investor is bbk who own vivo big smarphone brand in china & bbk were oppo’s main investor years ago. Now oppo find 7 has best specs of any smartphone. Expect OnePlus One to be flagship phone of 2014 #NeverSettle

  6. So this phone will not be offered on carrier subsidies?

    1. Won’t be offered on carriers at all as sales will be online. and it’s gsm only so Verizon and sprint customers are out of luck on this one.

  7. I love how HTC and Samsung steal sales away from their own new phones by having a better new phone come out the same year. It’s no wonder Apple dominates in the US. Do one thing and do it well~ The throwing noodles at the wall to see what sticks only works for so long. And before someone mentions it, market share is a small piece the puzzle for a low margin business.

    1. You keep telling yourself that, if it makes you feel better.

      1. Telling myself what? Samsung and HTC are clueless. OK, will do! Making 50 models of a phone is waste of investors money and why HTC, LG and Motorlola all are struggling in the phone market. Samsung fortunately has money from other things to keep their mobile phone and tablet divisions going.

        1. I think LG makes the same amount if not more products in general than Samsung. Rendering your statement inaccurate

          1. They do but dont have the cash to keep doing it, thus why they are struggling.

        2. I can’t tell if you are just a lonely troll or if you are actually that unintelligent.

          1. If you have an actual rebuttal, then feel free to post it.

          2. Very well. Samsung isn’t doing well because of any other branch of their company. Their mobile division has consistently been making a profit of $7-10 billion each quarter.
Their strategy is producing a lot of money, and ever since LG started producing a lot of models their mobile profits have gone from the negatives into being the one truly profitable part of their business.

Gauging from your reply, I am left to conclude that you are actually that unintelligent.

  8. Pretty sure this phone will not be available for big red… I swear this is a double edged sword.

    1. i soweee..

    2. Confucious say: “He who revels in scarlet-hued matters will find himself up a river of excrement without a paddle.”

      1. Lmao

  9. Never heard of April 24rd before, but I kinda like the way it looks on the title bar of my browser

  10. …….
