Boost Mobile ZTE Boost MAX

Thrifty Android shoppers on a budget might wanna check out Boost Mobile’s latest device, the Boost MAX. Made my ZTE, you’d be hard pressed to find any of the manufacturer’s branding on the device. Spec wise, we’re looking a solid mid-ranger, the most standout spec being the device’s large 5.7-inch display. Yeah, that’s Galaxy Note 3 territory, folks. Here’s the quick specs:

ZTE Boost MAX

  • 5.7-inch 720p HD display
  • 1.2GHz (unspecified) dual-core processor
  • 1GB RAM/8GB storage (micro SD card slot)
  • 8MP/1MP cameras
  • 3,200mAh battery
  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
  • Dolby Digital Audio Plus
  • SmartView multitasking

All-in-all, not a bad device for $300 off-contract. Don’t forget that Boost Mobile offers a $55 unlimited talk, text, and Sprint 4G LTE with shrinking payments. Those who stick with Boost for 6 months, get $5 off their monthly bill up until it reaches $40. This device might not be a spec-beast for the hardcore crowd, but for those looking for a big, easy to read Android on the cheap — the Boost MAX might be a good option.

I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.
