Samsung’s 2014 tablet roadmap is becoming a bit clearer if rumors of new ‘Pro’ and ‘Lite’ models pan out. According to SamMobile, four devices are on the slate for next year ranging from an 8.4-inch model all the way to a 12.2-inch Galaxy Note.

The four tablets are as follows:

  • Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1
  • Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite

All tablets will come in both WiFi-only and cellular configurations, with Pro models getting LTE while the lo-price Galaxy Tab 3 Lite relegated to 3G. That device will be the first to launch and feature a 7-inch screen size. It is expected to be priced around $150 when it launches at the beginning of the year. The other tablets, with screen sizes to reflect their names, will be available later in the first quarter of the year.

  1. Perhaps Samsung will finally bump the resolution up in all their tablets to at least 1080p.

    1. they are going to have to apple is going all 4k and is rumored to launch a ipad pro line that matches their mac book pro line.

  2. Now I have a solid basis to upgrade my old Note 10.1 to this year’s model and then stop. If Note only comes in 12 inch, then I’m out of this product line.

  3. I always considered the Galaxy Tab lineup a “lite” version already compared to the Note series.

    1. If this comes out with Note-like specs and light like the iPad Air, I’ll be all over it. Other than the Asus Transformer, there really aren’t many decent 10″ options for Android, and Google is dragging its feet on the new Nexus 10.

  4. What happened to the 10.5 inch rumor from the other day? I’d like the 8.4 tablet. Perfect size for me. My Nexus 7 is too small. I loved the Samsung Tab 7.7, but bought the Nexus 7 because I wanted something more up to date.
