Don’t want to wait for the new iPhone? How about this Android clone

53

While Apple fans anxiously await the next iPhone, us folks on the Android side of the fence can get ahold of the new design a bit early thanks to the crafty knockoff skills of China’s black market electronics hounds. Sure, the final design isn’t actually known, and this so-called Goophone I5 uses a 3.5-inch display as opposed to the rumored 4-inch screen of the real fifth-gen iPhone, but how can you resist that cute little Honeycomb logo? The two-toned iPhone design that has appeared in multiple leaks is in tact, but other specs are absent. We understand the money isn’t there, but its surprising Apple has made no attempt to go over the numerous Chinese knockoffs floating around there as part of their patent tirade.

  1. Oh… I remember you all posted something about a clone before called the Gapple I think.

  2. Apple can go sue them and get 1 cent. Haha. Apple is only targeting big company that they think they’re loosing market share, and that will be the only way they can make money since their products are loosing ground.

    1. yes but lol why would they target poor companies? That would be like you filing a police report because the cashier at mcdonalds didnt give you propper change.

      1. The cashier at McDonalds shorted me 7 cents the other day after charging me for something I didn’t even order and refunding me. I should file a police report.

        1. lol that is what some of us call, a waste of time and energy

      2. That’s nothing like it….if facts are facts they should sue? Copyright is copyright. That’s what makes me feel so good about apple suing. They’re obviously worried. Android will prevail undoubtedly.

  3. KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!!! >:O

    1. *tosses you a can of napalm*

    2. shoot it into outer space in the direction of the sun, disintegrate that shiZ

    3. Those crazy commies and their knock offs. Let’s just throw a dance party.

    4. “Nuke it from space. It’s the only way to be sure”

  4. iPhone? It can’t be. That looks nothing like my SGS2…

      1. we didnt need that one from u bud..too much

          1. i’m ridin’ roun’ i’m gettin’ it..its mine i spend it

    1. POW right in the kisser.

    2. Watch the next iPhone not even look like that and Apple will sue this company for copying their unreleased junk.

  5. Only if it the goo is included.

  6. I’m under the impression that protecting one’s intellectual property carries the legal obligation to protect it from EVERYONE.

    1. Ethical, maybe. Legal, I don’t think so. But I could be wrong.

    2. You must be thinking of trademarks. I doubt that applies to IP/patents.

      1. Actually, I think I overlooked the requirement of proving damages.

  7. Apple won’t sue them because it isn’t a threat.

  8. It’s hilarious that you ask this question on an Android site, especially after that stupid trial.
And no. I’m waiting for the Note II and the next Nexus, or Nexii. And the A15.
Maybe I’ll get a few of this POS and send it to the Cupertino HQ just to troll.
And I’m pretty sure they will be so mad that they would spend it all to destroy China by going thermonuclear war because they feel so powerless since they can’t do anything about it.
And I think Jobs has been haunting China after his death.

    1. maybe that’s why noone in the world has gone thermonuclear war with china, north korea etc…
      Jobs patented it

      1. We all know what happened the last time the word “nuclear” and an Asian country were in the same sentence…. Let’s not repeat that.

  9. So it’s OK to make an exact duplicate of the iPhone but it is not OK to make a larger phone with more buttons if it is kicking Apple’s @$$?

    1. Yes pretty much, that’s the only real reason Apple went after Samsung and not the others, they fear real competition

  10. The next iPhone will actually the 6th iPhone

    1. 7th, actually.

      1. 8th, f*ckit who cares lol

    2. Never mind, you are correct good sir/madam.

    3. The New iPhone.

  11. No, Apple won’t sue them because that’s where 99% of their phone comes from. If they know anything, it’s not to crap where you eat.

    1. great rule… second only to: “don’t dip your pen in the inkwell at work”

  12. It’s sad that they make things like that. Why be jealous or try to imitate an inferior product?

  13. So assuming that all the leaks of the iphone parts are legit and and this is what the next phone all the isheep want looks like, does this mean that since this phone has already been introduced and in the market, can this manufacturer sue apple for copying their design since the iphone has not been made official? Just a thought..

  14. lulz

  15. Does this mean if it hits the market first they can sue Apple?

  16. Goo…
    Great game!

  17. Why would apple sue over these devices? They are not anything apple has to worry about competing against. They only sue their competitors who are ripping their market share away.

  18. cant wait to get my hands on it! the real one.

    1. ur people made this clone…why did u do it

      1. well, the factory need to find a way to throw away the trash.

        1. so they wont they throw people like u into it

          1. because we make items for the white trash and famerican?

    2. iphone is nice…but not as a phone. ipod is good, iphone is too much. one android galaxy s3 with ipod 4th generation and u are good to goooo

      1. but i dont want to carry two devices at once. i got a GN but i cant listen music with it because it drink battery so fast.

  19. apple cant sue the chinese. the chinese abide by their own rules, apple cant even target the people running this

  20. finally you can open an email link in YOUR browser = finally a smartphone :)

  21. Even as a cheap iPhone knock off it looks a lot better and looks to have much more better build quality than any Samsung phone lmao

  22. “but its surprising Apple has made no attempt to go over the numerous Chinese knockoffs floating around there as part of their patent tirade.”

They dont look at them as competition, there for they are not a threat.. Apple’s court-room activity has nothing to really do with the Patents they claim to protect, they just use them as a way to kill down their competition when it starts to threaten them.. This is why Im so sick of Apple and their sue-happy style. If it really was about patent protection, they would have already killed every Chinese KIRF manufacturer.
