On the gaming tablet, it seems that all you really need is a controller and a tablet and you’ve pretty much got a gaming tablet, especially with Tegra 3 and other beefier chipsets out there.
It’s going to be hard to sell that to a tech-savy market.
I think the controller as an attachement would have been perfect for a lot of people. An entirely new $500 tablet? Not so much..
Yeah that’s his I feel about it. I think they could make barrels of money selling a universal controller that can attach to 7 in. tablets and one for 10 in. tablets too. Heck if they wanted to go all out just make the 10 in. version adjustable to support 8.9-10.1 inches they would have mostly the whole tablet market covered.
Patent on metering and focus speed?!? WTF?!? Someone at the patent office needs to be investigated immediately.
I think the whole place needs to be burned down and all the rules destroyed and both be rewritten/rebuilt from the ground up.
*If* I read the article correctly, then other manufacturers should only have to write their own software independent of Apple’s to do the same thing. I am by no means an expert on such things, and if I am wrong and it is indeed a patent on the procedure itself, then that is another bs patent.
Goodness gracious me! A patent on metering and focus speed? You might as well patent the way we hold our phones as well. The stupidity of the patent office is astounding.
I think people in the patent office are having a laugh now in the US.
Tbh though the worldwide patents systems are a bit bullshit these days tbh, on everyone’s side
Congratulations to apple for inventing face detection and spot metering.
