Tamagotchi-like app Hatchi now available in the Google Play Store

6

The folks at Hatchi have announced that their app, a Tamagotchi clone which allows you to raise digital pets, is now available in the Google Play Store.

This app stays true to the 8-bit style of the original devices to offer true nostalgia. While there’s a lot of sentiment to be had with the real deal hanging around your neck we love the idea of having it on our phones.

You’ll feed your animals, clean them, play with them, and watch them grow. The better you care for them, the more obedient and behaved they are. And for $.99 all of that sounds like a win to me. Prepare the DeLorean and head to the Google Play Store.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. So where is the link to it?

  2. Just like every other app that has been ported from iOs, this lacks features that the iOs version has. Although it seems well made.

  3. I wish Bandai would release an actual Tamagotchi app (like the color-screen Tamagotchi +Color and Tamagotchi iD from Japan). I’m just not feeling the “retro” vibe here, especially since B/W-screen versions are all the US and Europe get.

  4. errr… we can get them to fight one another? geez… as though we dun have enough battery problems on smartphones… i hope this one dun cry for food and attention every 30 mins… lol…

but seriously, i love these tamagotchi thingy… just… dev should add new features to it — battle via nfc, etc. :D

  5. I almost bit! I’d much rather a Digimon port though, with online battles!
