Instagram Updated in Play Store – Welcomes HTC One X Users To The Hipster Party

8

Another day, another Instagram update. Well, at least you can’t accuse the devs over at Instagram HQ of slacking off (favoritism, maybe). No, today’s update didn’t bring the much requested blur filter or combining photos into a single, collage of hipster pics. Today’s update brings the usual set of bugfixes with added support for Tegra 3 tablets and handsets, of which there is currently only one handset — the HTC One X.

For all you One X users out there (you, lucky Androids, you) who have been shut out of the service since its release, welcome to family. Have a cold Pabst on me. Oh, and feel free to drop my a line at @Gamercore, where I post pics of all my mishaps and adventures — using all available filters at my disposal.

I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.

  2. i was hoping for tilt-shift and blur….

  3. If the only reason hipstagram came to android was just to butthurt all the sheeple then I am ok with it.

    edit
also check out the ics camera on any phone that runs it, The sharing utility (like gingerbread) is awesome, I do personally like the idea of hipstagram but I don’t need to monitor more than 2 social networks at a time so… yeah not a benefit for me but I am glad to see this come to android just to help me sway customers away from the iStatus

  4. Instagram is the most overhyped app I’ve ever seen. The stock HTC Sense camera app does everything that hipster nonsense does and more.

    1. Instagram isn’t filters. It’s a social network.
