When it comes to my Android device. I think of it as my baby. Like any good mother, I want to keep it safe, and I find pleasure in dressing it up in various outfits (cases). Seeing how the last case for my Sprint Epic 4G Touch was feeling stale, I decided to shop around the internets for a new outfit. That’s when I came across this generic case featuring a TPU rubber/hard transparent plastic combo. I’ve seen it pop up in my searches a few times and in various colors. “What the hell,” I thought, “I’ll give it a shot.”
One thing you should know about me: I’m a cheap bastard. It’s true. I don’t believe in spending very much for something as simple as a plastic mold. Well, I’m happy to report that I was quite impressed with how far my $5 was able to take me. The case felt great on my GS2 and the semi-transparent hard plastic with a matte finish gave my device a unique look while allowing the Galaxy S II logo to shine through.
Overall, I am pleased. For the sake of being a little nitpicky, I did find it was slightly thicker than a few other TPU cases I’ve tried in the past, and I wasn’t particularly fond of how far the case is raised along the front lip (see above image). But I suppose, it could keep the glass from touching a surface when laying face down. I’ll continue my journey for the “perfect case” once my Galaxy Nexus comes in the mail. In the meantime, you guys can check out my very quick video for a better look and you decide if you’d like one for your Samsung Epic 4G Touch. Enjoy.
Never saw the point of cases/screen protectors. But then again, I baby my electronics, so they always stay in mint condition.
I baby mine too but all it takes is 1 fall and my heart would break into a thousand pieces. I need assurance that my phones will always remain blemish free.
you baby yours? lol every video i see you mash on em with your fingers and flip them like you dont care if it drops haha, not trying to be mean just saying what i see
Nails and 2 foot drops onto carpet doesn’t hurt phones. Pavement? Now THAT hurts phones. =p
I’ve never had a single scratch, dent, knick or buise on any phone I’ve ever owned. =)
I’m the same way. Hate to think I have to replace my Nexus for full cost. I reluctantly bought Squaretrade. Take case on and off going outside. Someone needs to develop a phone made of flubber. You’ll love the Nexus by the way.
Can’t wait to get it :D
Gotta love a slow news day. Lol
Are you kidding? Just a regular news day. If you’ll notice, this video was actually uploaded yesterday. I did it in between my 8 posts. O_o
I’ve had this case on my TMO GSII since I bought the phone and I love it. The flat rubber side grip is perfect and you can’t beat the clear back that lets you represent that Galaxy S II. Just wish I could find one like it with a kickstand.
Yeah, I wish more cases would have a kickstand. It would make gaming and watching vids so much easier on my phone…
No kickstand, so I’d slit my wrists if I had to live with that.
Diztronic makes the best TPU cases IMHO. Great communication if something if you have any issues with your order. Their case for the Galaxy Nexus is killer. Great fit and finish. A lot of their most recent case designs have matte non-slip backs, with a glossy lip that goes around the front of the device.
You have really pretty hands, Chris.
“Like any good mother” Maybe that explains it…
My hands and feet are my best features O_o
What about that hair, man?
Let’s be real. I look like a total idiot O_o
I’ve been rockin that exact case for the last couple months and I love it! Too bad I paid double what you did.
I got this case the day I got my epic touch. I currently have my phone naked now. I fine mind the case when I wear pants that have deep pockets, but when I wear Jeans, the phone feels uncomfortable with the case. I thought about getting the galaxy nexus however I don’t see too many reasons why I should upgrade now. The screen in my sgs2 is still one of the best and nothing really outperforms this phone. I’m saving my money for the sgs3, and I do how the screen goes edge to edge. A couple of the renders I have seen on here are damn sexy.
I have A new Tab which is woPad A10 – 7 inch Android 4.0 Tablet PC it is the best tab i have ever seen in my life it has an ultra powerful Many Core A10 1.2Ghz CPU, the type of CPU that is
