10

Verizon Wireless is having a few sales over on their site for the next couple of days. In what could be seen as an attempt to clear out their existing stock of their 3G smartphones, the Motorola Droid 3, Motorola Droid X2, HTC Droid Incredible 2 and Samsung Droid Charge are all being offered up for only $10 with a new 2-year agreement or new line. This “Droid Does Sale” will expire on this Monday the 12th.

The HTC Rhyme is also the subject of its own “St. Patrick’s Day sale,” where the device will be free (with a new 2-year contract) until March 17th.

I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.

  1. cheap phones for cheap. cool

    1. lol yea true, but their still dual core, still not worth it though considering Motorola isn’t even going to update them with ICS

      1. My dad still thinks his original DroidX is going to get ICS…

        1. Lol, if he roots it he can prob upgrade within unofficial rom

  2. Pardon me while I snuggle up to my GNex.

  3. DInc 2 is a very capable phone and is confirmed to get ICS.. not a bad deal in my opinion.

  4. Don’t forget: Droid Charge is 4G

I had my dad look at this (he’s using my old Incredible), but then realized it’s not applicable for upgrades. Ack!

  5. Just a heads up, the Droid Charge is horrible choice. Stay away from it. I’ve had it for a little over a month and it is the worst smartphone I’ve ever used.
At first it was all fine and dandy, but then after the first week the problems that I overlooked started to really bother me. The device slows down after a few hours which sometimes freezes the phone and web browsing is also really slow. Can’t even watch a flash video without it lagging and inevitably freezing.
I’ve rooted it and installed different Roms but the issues show up in each Rom. I’ve applied tweaks to it but they are just bandaids that don’t ever fix the problems.

    1. The Droid Charge is a great choice for the money. Super Amoled Plus screen and good ROM’s. You might have a bad one because mine is a tank. I tweak it all the time and never have problems unless I experiment to much but then it is easy to fix. Eclipse 1.4 or Tweakstock 1.4 with PBJT kernel and you can do all!

  6. I love my inc 2 so this would be a great deal to jump on.
