Koush Releases Touch Recovery Beta for Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus

1

It hasn’t even been a week since Koushik Dutta first showed us a touch-enabled ClockworkMod Recovery up and running on Android 4.0+ devices and now he’s making the beta available for all to download. We’ve got builds here for the CDMA and GSM versions of the Galaxy Nexus as well as the GSM version of the Nexus S. We have a couple of .img files – one for each phone – and they will need to be flashed using fastboot. Quick instructions on how to do that are below. Head to the ClockworkMod Google+ page for the download links (in case they change). [Thanks Josh!]

2. Reboot into Fastboot Mode: Power off your device and (Power + Volume Up and Down)
3. Flash CWM (fastboot flash recovery name-of-img-file-here.img)
4. Reboot into OS (fastboot reboot)
5. You now have CWM recovery permanently installed

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.
