Cowon is upgrading their D3 line of Android media players featuring the same outer body, but brand spanking new internals (circa 2010). The Z2 Plenue will come with a 1GHz Cortex A-8 processor, 521MB of RAM and the same 3.7-inch 800×480 AMOLED screen as yesteryear’s model, along with the usual micro USB and HDMI ports.
Still running on Android 2.3 the media player also features an expandable memory via micro SD card, FM radio, Bluetooth, WiFi and 8GB of internal memory for $230 in Korea. The 32GB version can be had for $300. A US release wasn’t mentioned but I don’t see that breaking anyone’s hearts.

But why the small memory? This (or pmp / itouch) with 100gb+ and I would buy today. Anyone know of what I need? (Not just a hard disc model like iPod classic though).
You need to wish upon a star. We’re not quite to that sort of technology yet.
Cowon X7
The X7 uses a disc driven hard drive, like the iPod Classic, which is what Zed said they did not want.
…and again, technology isn’t advanced enough yet to give us high capacity flash memory in a PMP. Give it time, it will happen sooner than you might think.
Google Music for WiFi, on board memory when not available. Works for me, Cowon is solid.
