The LG Optimus lineup found its way to nearly every corner of the globe last year, and it looks like its predecessor is already on tap. The LG Optimus 2 has surfaced on the manufacturer’s website showing a 3.2MP camera, 3.2-inch display, and 800 MHz processor. The handset will run Android 2.3 out of the box and is listed with a CDMA/EVDO Rev. A configuration as well as other connectivity including Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi. We expect we will be hearing a bit more about the new device at CES next week.

I think that you mean successor not predecessor.

  2. Given those specs it could be either. :P

  3. This rehash will only be a distraction from more interesting things at CES.

  4. This has to be a device for one of those free w/ new contract deals.

  5. Wait, how is it different (or better) than the old one?  I mean, newer OS, sure, but we can do that for the older one with a mod. Off the top of my head I’m thinking the older one is better…

  6. Question is, what is here to make me consider an upgrade from Optimus T? So far I’m not seeing anything must-have on the list. 800 instead of 600, gingerbread instead of froyo, but the same screen size as before. Could be wrong but it also looks like more bezel… at any rate, not quite as visually attractive as the Optimus One family IMHO.

  7. Going backwards with tech is the new moving forward! Everyones doing it…look at Apple!

    Im sorry….I had to! =0(

  8. pretty fucking ugly

  9. That is a prepaid phone on net10 i think
