673

If you’re unsure what this whole “Holidroid Contest” thing is all about, be prepared to get excited. From November 24th through December 25th, Phandroid is giving away a Kindle Fire every single day along with other great prizes like the Galaxy Nexus Galaxy Tabs, JAMBOX, SmarTouch Gloves, Android Phones, Android T-Shirts, Seidio Vouchers and more. Read our announcement post for details.

Yesterday’s Winner

Yesterday’s winner was asked to identify who of the AndroidForums.com moderators team attended the Summer AndroidForums meetup. The correct answer was Steven58 and TwoSpirits and the lucky AF user who answered correctly first was erikiksaz! Congratulations! But we have yet another contest today so let’s see what’s up for grabs:

Amazon Kindle Fire

The Kindle Fire could be this holiday’s hottest product: at only $199 it’s not only one of the most  affordable Android tablets, it’s also one of the best. That’s a killer combination. With a beautiful UI, great battery life, carefully curated apps/games, and an amazing array of media options thanks to Amazon’s Digital Content Ecosystem… the Kindle Fire is a sure win. Good luck winning one in our contest, but at only $199 it’s probably worth buying one just in case!

Isotoner SmarTouch Gloves

Every single holiday season these SmarTouch smartphone gloves are consistently one of my favorite gift giving items. They eloquently solve one of the most fundamental problems a tech lover faces: using your device in cold weather. Wearing gloves usually prevents your touchscreen from working: take your phone out, take your glove off, use your phone, hand gets gold, shove phone in pocket, rush to get glove on. NO MORE! Isotoner’s SmarTouch gloves, designed in my colors and sizes for both men and women, has technology that passes the electrons your body gives off, through the gloves, onto the capacitive screen and allowing it to work. VOILA! Seriously. It works. Trust me. Try it… and you’ll love them forever.

Seidio $30 Voucher

With so much smartphone use comes battery drain. Thankfully, Seidio makes some awesome extended batteries that fit many smartphones, allowing you to get longer battery life with the same device. No more toting around a charger everywhere you go: just snag a Seidio and call it a day! Seidio also makes cases, holsters, and other great accessories for your smartphones.Check them all out here.

JAMBOX

Ever wanted a small, portable speaker that plays music LOUD and CLEAR and isn’t a pain to setup? Let me introduce you to the Jawbone JAMBOX speaker. This bad boy packs a powerful bunch an extremely small frame, easily connects to your Android device via Bluetooth, and is an absolute pleasure to use. Bluetooth means you can stream not only music, but also games, apps, phone conversations, movies, and any other audio playing on your device! It also means no cords! Put it on your desk. Carry it to the kitchen. Bring it to the basketball court. Take it to your friend’s party. The Jawbone JAMBOX is a music lover’s dream device.

Andy Robot T-Shirt

True Android enthusiasts and tech lovers enjoy expressing their Android attitude and there is no better way to do so then with an Android Robot T-Shirt from the brilliant folks at iSteamAndy. They’ve created a series of artistic, creative Android Robot themed T-shirts with fun, rich imagery. They sell like hotcakes and have limited production runs so get each design while you still can. Some of their top designs (and ones we’re giving away) include: Dark Night AndyiSteam Andy,Flying AndyExploded AndyAndy Verus, and Unstoppable Andy. Check out

ZeeMote Bluetooth Game Controller

The Zeemote Bluetooth Game Controller compacts things into one comfortable, ergonomically sound gaming package. You use one hand and the controller has an analog stick with four action buttons on it. It’s a bit reminiscent of a Nintendo Wiimote – makes you wonder where the name was inspired from. There are many games in the Android Market already compatible with the Zeemote, including the popular title R-Type, and you may even be able to use it with some of your emulators. It goes perfectly with many Android devices, from 3.2 inch phones to 10.1 inch tablets. And if you want the ultimate gaming experience, Zeemote + Phone/Tablet + TV + HDMI-out = awesome.

  8. Easy. The phone I would use the rest of my life would be my (Verizon) Galaxy Nexus. The best phone at the moment, with a great screen, speed, OS, and fast camera. Everything I could want.

  9. Galaxy Nexus so I can get all the current versions of Android

  12. Galaxy Note!  It has powerful hardware, and it’s the most versatile phone out there right now.

  13. Galaxy Nexus hands down. It will always be one of, if not the first to receive updates.

  14. The Asus Padfone.  It’s not out yet, but I have been impatiently waiting for it.  Why wouldn’t I want it?  It’s a phone and a tablet in one.  It’s going to have ICS.  Asus has been on a roll lately, and I appreciate them for thinking outside the box.  I really think the Padfone will be a literal game changer, so it will be nice to hold on to the first of its kind…

  15. Galaxy Nexus because it’s the beat smartphone today.

  16. I’d use the Nexus S, but it would be embedded into my brain and I would be known as Android…the benevolent one. Why? Because it’s awesome and I want it inside me. Yeah, that wasn’t weird for me to admit publicly at all.

  17. Xperia PLAY, because I just love how easy and fun it is to play games with, it has the perfect size, a nice design and from a great manufacturer.

  18. i would use the galaxy nexus if i had one. I chose this phone cause after reading a lot of reviews about it, it keeps blowing my mind. The interface (web browser and all) its so fast, the beautiful design made by samsung its also so gorgeous to look at (cant imagine how exited i would be with it on my hand), and it so powerful with its specs, so it means it will be competing with more advance android phones for a while. :)

  19. I would use the Droid RAZR for ever. That phone is future proof. Built to last and has the best hardware there is, That phone will definitely last me through the zombie apocalypse. I will use it to deflect bullets (granted zombies learn to use them or if I’m threatened by other survivors) with its Kevlar and then use it as a throwing star with its razor edge to behead my enemies! muahahaha

  20. Will have to go with the GSM/HSPA Galaxy Nexus as it is the most recent device direct from Google.  It will have updates direct from the source as well as the massive modding community for ages.

  21. The Galaxy Nexus because it’s THE BEST PHONE EVAR!!1!!!

  22. I would use the Samsung Galaxy Note, since it’s a great size for both tablet use and it’s a phone.  it’s got everything, and it’s fast.

  23. Galaxy nexus, because it’s by far the best out there :)

  24. Well, I’d say the galaxy nexus….. Or my cylon electronic organizer.

  25. My Optimus V. It’s the only one I’ve ever used and I’m happy with it!

  26. I hate to jump on the band wagon, but I have to agree that the Galaxy Nexus would be the choice for me.  I have it, love it, and will honor and cherish it till death do us part.

  27. The Galaxy Nexus, because it has great hardware, and runs the latest and best version of Android.

  28. Galaxy nexus, because I could watch so much high-res X-rated stuff on that screen at the retirement home.

  29. I would have to choose… the new, exciting, long-awaited, Google Galaxy Nexus! The first Android phone to support the new Ice Cream Sandwich OS. Now this is a phone that should easily last a two-year contract, and the new panoramic camera feature will be great for the outdoors!

  30. I would have to go with the Galaxy Nexus because it is the latest and greatest device.  If I could wait just a little longer…I’d want one of the quad phones.  :)

  31. The Android phone of my choice would be the Motorola Triumph. It’s the only Android phone I’ve owned and have grown to have a bond with.

  32. Anything but this super glitchy sidekick 4g

  33. I would love the Galaxy Nexus! I don’t have an android phone and i think the nexus will be great, I know it has very good capacity for a smartphone. Thank you Phandroid one more time for this amazing contests! :)

  34. i would have to say the GALAXY NEXUS SO I CAN ALWAYS HAVE THE ABLITY TO STAY UP TO DATE WITH THE NEW VERSIONS OF ANDROID

  35. I’d pick a Samsung Galaxy S II because it is a nice size without being too large, and it has a dual-core processor, front camera, and all the capabilities I’d need.

  36. Galaxy Nexus…It’s sleek, sexy, curved…NFC, Awesome Specs, 4G.  I mean come on…It’s an awesome package.

  37. If I had one phone for the rest of my life it’d be my Galaxy Nexus, because of its curves.

  38. Galaxy Nexus, just got it and it is better than anything else that is out right now.

  39. definitely galaxy nexus…best phone on the market right now, and quite an improvement from my current g1  ;)

  40. I would get whatever the newest nexus phone is available at the time (currently the Galaxy Nexus) because they are the flagship device of android and should get software updates faster than anyone else.

  41. I would say that at least right now, the galaxy nexus would be my choice since it is the most advanced and is even set with LTE, 32gb of storage and hopefully updates for a nice long time!

  42. A rooted Euro Galaxy S2 running a stock version of the latest Android release. I NEED a micro sd card slot. The design is beautiful. I’ve always been a fan of AMOLED (all versions). Thin and lightweight. Samsung’s Exynos processor trumps all IMO. As of right now its the perfect android phone. We all know that can change in a matter of weeks though LOL. I live in the US btw!

  43. Galaxy Nexus. For me it’s about the updates, they make me happy, that’s why I decided on the nexus S when I left the palm pre.

  44. Nexus One because I’m in love with this phone.

  45. The Galaxy Nexus. Just bought it a few days ago, and I remain totally impressed. Sleek, smart, and functional.

  46. If I could have any Android phone, it would have to be the T-Mo G1 for no reason other than to celebrate the birth of this amazing platform, and community!

  47. I would like galaxy nexus because its the hottest and fisrt phone out  with ice cream sandwich.

  48. It would have to be the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, because it is the one phone fully backed by Google, and it will receive all the lastest updates. I also hear it might support Google Wallet…?

  49. Galaxy Nexus of course. It’s the latest mostpwoerful phone so it would last the longest!

  50. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus, because it is one sexy beast…just like me.

  51. The GSM Galaxy Nexus because:

It’s the newest Nexus phone, therefore, no carrier iq, no skins and updates as soon as available.

    It’s GSM.

    It’s not on Verizon.

  52. Galaxy Nexus…with a pile of extended batteries.  This thing is so fast and so pretty, I can’t imagine any other phone even coming close.

  53. The Samsung Infuse 4G. I am using it currently and I love it. The specs might not be anything too flashy but they’re enough for me. Plus, I can flash new ROMs to stay updated with firmware. I would be happy to keep this phone forever!

  54. The Galaxy Nexus because it has stock Android and will get updates quickly.

  55. I’d have to go with a GSM version of the Galaxy Nexus. I’d have stock Android from Google and my choice of carriers around the world, and long after Google gave up on it, I would know that the dev community would still be supporting it. Almost makes me wish I had the EVO 4G again over my current Galaxy S2 Epic 4G Touch. Man the EVO 4G had great developer support, so many great roms.

  56. The Samsung Galaxy Note: It would take the place of two devices: tablet and phone.

  57. It would be the Galaxy Nexus, because I don’t know if I could put up with anything less than stock Android, timely updates, 4G LTE, and a dual core processor for the rest of my life.

  58. Samsung Captivate, its my first android phone I ever got and just love it, it does everything I need and its so thin.

  59. The G1 to inspire envy once the phenomenon of Android hipsters develops

  60. I will never own an non-Nexus Android.  So Galaxy Nexus it is… though I would miss my multi color trackball on the Nexus One.

  61. Galaxy Nexus, because it’s fast and has ics!

  62. Joining the bandwagon… Galaxy Nexus. I love the smooth design of the Nexus phones, and this one is the best to date. Would provide the best current platform to do whatever I want, root, flash ROMs, etc. Oh and ICS. Do I need to say more?

  63. The new Galaxy Nexus, because it’s awesome and new!

  64. Samsung Galaxy Note. Half tablet, half phone, and should be powerful enough to last a long time before it’s hopelessly outdated. Maybe by the time I’m 60 years old, it will be viewed like the flip phones of today, but by the time I’m 60 years old, I won’t care.

  65. I would stick with my Droid X2, it works well

  66. Galaxy Nexus. Fast, slim, pure google. But the rest of my life? More like until the next Nexus.

  67. galaxy nexus, of course.  may as well have the latest and greatest for a little while..

  68. Droid Bionic. Love the phone and if I were to have it for the rest of my life hopefully Moto would unlock the bootloader in a few decades.

  69. I just picked up the Galaxy Nexus on Friday from Verizon and I couldn’t be happier with it. So, I think I’ll rock that one for a while!

  70. Galaxy Nexus.

  71. My Galaxy Nexus…. unbelievable how far Android has come since my first phone.. Droid Eris. Gotta love being first for updates!

  72. I would go with a galaxy nexus. After dealing with slow updates when the OS is customized from samsung and the carriers(have a fascinate), it would be nice to know that I would get updates shortly after they are released.

  73. I’m quite comfortable with my current Android phone – the Casio Commando GzOne. I knock around my phone mercilessly, drop it, expose it to weather, and it continues to work. It provides me all applications I need, mostly business communication, and some entertainment as I need. Totally satisfied, except that all the tech blogs tend to ignore this model.

  74. Well i have had a motorola Defy for a while, and its a pretty tough phone. I think i would keep this one. I mean i know its not the fastest phone (its 3G and now we got 4G), nor its the more elegant one. But its durable and it can go underwater which its pretty amazing =)

  75. I’d prefer the Motorola Droid Razr if I had to be stuck with one phone forever because the OG Droid I have now still works great!!

  76. While the Galaxy Nexus is the obvious choice, because it’s a Google phone and it will be updated….Using the same phone for a long time means that it has to be more than just the latest/greatest right now – there needs to be something else. HTC Thunderbolt – because that kickstand comes in handy too many times and it’s rootable with a micro SD card slot – Galaxy Nexus: no and no.

  77. Galaxy Nexus because it’s the best!

  78. Galaxy Nexus just because it’s pure Android.

  79. I’m going to say: Samsung Galaxy S II

  80. I would use the galaxy nexus because it’s the newest and probably the most powerful phone in the market right now. Basically, if i had to keep one phone forever, might as well get the best one so it doesn’t get outdated as fast

  81. The Galaxy Nexus is my new baby…and my baby for life!

  82. The new Galaxy Nexus duh! It’s super pretty and has an amazing hardware. I would love it my entire life!

  83. The droid razr over the galaxy nexus because it is more hardware advanced.

  84. Galaxy Nexus. The Dev will be strong will it for sometime.

  85. Tough question. Nexus One was it for long time. But right now my dream phone would be RAZR with unlocked bootloader!

  86. Droid Razr because I had the original Razr for seven years, since the week it came out. Now I have this one. I think it can last me until the time google puts android into our brains instead of phones.

  87. I’ve got to go with the crowd and say Galaxy Nexus.  It is light years ahead of my previous phone (Omnia 2).  Plus the decent hardware and getting updates quickly are a big plus.

  88. I like my Bionic. I would love the Google experience, but like Motorola’s hardware better than Samsung.

  89. I honestly would choose the Motorola Droid. It had stock Android, unlocked bootloader, and the modding community was the best! It really was the phone that got me (and many others) into Android. That’s why i would choose it.

  90. I have not used many android devices, but love my droid 3. If I could get the droid 4 I’d love it though! When ever that comes out.

  91. Galaxy Nexus, because the stock battery last longer than the Thunderbolt’s.

  92. I’ve only had two Android phones so far, a Droid X and X2. I would say any phone that is not skinned or full of bloatware. And right now the best is the Galaxy Nexus. No more laggy, buggy, and slow as hell to be updated phones for me.

  93. hmm, I would want to say the galaxy nexus, but after owning the HTC rezound, with its superior camera, I’m saying the rezound. Only thing I wish is that there would be a permanent root out already.

  94. Galaxy Nexus, cuz it looks sweet!

  95. Galaxy Nexus because it’s pure Android

  96. Um…Galaxy Nexus. No question. You always go for the newest, bestest tech you can afford at the time you’re ready to decide. It will last you the longest.

  97. Angry birds, shine runner, brothers n arms…all pretty impressive games that play smoothly on my epic 4g touch. I can kill a lot of time with these games and if I’m gonna have to keep a phone for the rest of my life then I want to be able to kill a lot of time. Besides that today is my 40th birthday and what a present it would be to win a phandroid contest!

  98. I would have to go with the Galaxy Nexus. Un-encrypted bootloader, NFC, LTE, and I expect strong support from the 3rd party developers. Closest thing to “future proof” we have right now!

  99. I will say the new Galaxy Nexus for the decent hardware and getting updates quickly. It will be the phone of my life!

  100. Definitely the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Perfect screen size, unbeatable screen resolution, no more capacitive buttons, and Ice Cream Sanwich!!!

  101. I would use the HSPA+ Galaxy Nexus. Being pentaband, it would work on nearly all HSPA+ networks in the world. Also, getting updates from Google directly means that it’ll always be up to date with the latest Android software!

  102. Galaxy Nexus, because it will get updates in a timely manner.

  103. samsung galaxy s2 it got a big screen and fast so when I’m old and senile, I’ll be able to read it and remember what I’m doing.

  104. Galaxy S II, a must have for the fantastic battery life.

  105. Nexus S – the perfect combination of power, functionality and size.  The fact that it is a Nexus is encouraging for future Android upgrades as well.  The size of the galaxy nexus scares me.

  106. If I had to pick one android phone it would be my htc sensation, I have only two android in my possession and tested many, I really like the feel of the phone and enjoy how fast as it is a android. I also like that its htc and has many great features.
    Phandroid is awesome.

  107. The Nexus One. Unlike phones being released at the moment, it can easily be used with one hand and fit in a pocket without any trouble and yet is still a reasonably fast phone and is likely to still have custom roms for a couple more years

  108. Galaxy Nexus. Google to the core!

  109. Samsung Galaxy nexus. I’ve had it for 3 days and its simply the best!

  110. Nexus, no bloatware

  111. If i had to choose a android phone or the rest of my life it would be my old HTC Hero, this was the phone that introduced me to android sense and I’ve loved it ever since.

  112. It would have to be the Galaxy Nexus (GSM) because it would get the longest community support.

  113. the galaxy nexus, not because the overall quality of the phone is better than any other phone, but because of hackibility, being able to easily root and rom a phone stretches its life exponentially

  114. The very Galaxy Nexus I’m entering on right now, simply because of the pure Ice Cream Sandwich!

  115. Even though i have a samsung fascinate, I would love to use the nexus s for the rest of my life.  The form factor, screen, and choice of roms availible for it would keep me from having phone envy for a very long time. Not to mention…its just a sexy beast of a phone;)

  116. My Droid X. I love it so much. I even use it whilst defecating. If that ain’t love then I don’t know what is.

  117. Well, so far it would be the Galaxy Nexus – had it since Thursday and I’m in love!

  118. My final would be HTC edge

  119. I would use the galaxy nexus because I could count on regular software updates.

  120. I would choose the Galaxy Nexus because its the most future-proof phone out.720p screen, Google Updates, great design, dual core, etc.

Second would be the Galaxy SII. I would choose it first if it wasn’t for its screen.

  121. HTC Desire. Right screen size. Physical buttons. Beautiful screen and lovely to hold in the hand.

  122. Galaxy Nexus. Great specs, OS, and some amazing developer support. Many of the great D1 developers are getting behing it.

  123. I’d pick the Galaxy Nexus.  It’s one of the best (THE best?) around at this moment and probably will be supported for the longest of everything available.

  124. I’m using a Samsung Captivate, and I must say, it sure has captivated me!  (And AT&T has me as a captive too, for another year at least!)  Plus Phandroid.com and AndroidForums.com both keep me informed about ‘all things Android’.  So, I’ll stick with the Captivate for the rest of my life, and then die happy!

  125. I would stick with my Bionic, I think.  It’s a pretty awesome phone!

  126. Galaxy Nexus. Might as well go for the best of the best!!!!

  127. What Android phone to use for the rest of my life? Although I have yet to receive it, I’m going with Galaxy Nexus. I love my OG Droid, and it has served me well…but I am excited to finally harness the Ice Creamed, 4G, dual cored, super AMOLED screened monster known as Galaxy Nexus!

  128. I’d choose the Galaxy S II (my current phone). It’s got a perfect screen size for me, and it’s incredibly light & powerful. Works with Cyanogen so supports all the hacking I need as well :)

  129. My first (and so far only) Android phone.  Motorola Droid X, I already have it set up the way I want it, with all my apps and my notifications for everything

  130. I would choose the Galaxy Nexus! There is just no competition out there, faster interface, almost no bugs (or no bugs at all) Ice cream sandwich, and what not. this is the phone of the year :)

  131. The Nexus S…its all about the curve

  132. The Galaxy Nexus of course.

  133. If I had to use one phone forever I’d be the Galaxy Nexus because you could watch an endless amount of TV Shows / Movies on it’s beautiful HD screen, play awesome games with ease, and it’s easy to make phone calls (which is the whole point of a phone, right?)!

  134. Droid Bionic –  that’s what I own now and once it ports ICS it will be an even better phone.

  135. i’d go with the galaxy nexus because the updates won’t take over a year, i don’t have to worry about locked bootloaders if i want to root my phone.. and no bloatware or ugly skins (looking at you HTC and Motorola) to deal with

  136. What Android phone

  137. I would have the evo 3d, my sister-in-law has one it was pretty smooth,  love the 3d on it.

  138. Honestly, I’m good with my Rezound. This thing is fantastic.

  139. Galaxy Nexus, it’s sleek, design and screen is beautiful, and best of all it’s Google’s baby.

  140. Galaxy Nexus. Why? Because it’s better than peanut butter and jelly

  141. well for the rest of my life i better get the latest and greatest. Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

  142. I would pick up the Galaxy Nexus.  Its the latest Android beast out there, and we know it will be updated to the next Android versions.  Plus it will probably have an awesome dev community.

  143. I’d have to choose the Galaxy Nexus. ICS is where Android needs to be (closer to webOS)

  144. I’d use the Samsung ***********

It doesn’t exist yet, nor does it have a name, but in 10 years time, it’ll be like what the galaxy nexus is to the current phone crop today! No less, it’s completely customizable, and thus, any parts in it that break or become obsolete can be replaced with ease!

  145. The Galaxy Nexus because of how smooth the performance is and how beautiful the screen is!

  146. Galaxy nexus cuz it is the most advanced as of now.

  147. If I had to have a android phone the rest of my life it would be a sony xperia play, because of its useabillity and its game pad and battery life.:)

  148. Galaxy Nexus. It’s my dream phone at this moment. As soon as I get my upgrade it is on. Also, I’m sure it will have loads of custom Roms and it will receive updates first.

  149. I guess I would go with one the thing that will stay timeless: the Hello Kitty phone from SoftBank. Plus it’s waterproof, so that will help keep it going for decades.

  150. I would definitely have the Galaxy Nexus for its beauty and simplicity.

  151. The next Nexus device, it will be better than the Galaxy Nexus which is currently the best available. You didn’t say I had to pick a CURRENT Android Device.

  152. Galaxy nexus, because it has a lot of hard drive space as well as it has a higher chance of being updated for a longer period of time then it’s rivals

  153. Galaxy Nexus for sure! Nuff said.

  154. My current Moto Triumph. I’ve customized it so much I doubt I could switch even if I could afford it.

  155. Although I am happy with my Rezound for now, to be stuck with one Android phone for life would make me have to choose a Nexus Prime ( really wish they named it that). With the speed of updates, the support available, and the rooting and modding capabilities it’s more than just one phone. A few tweaks and changes will make it feel like a new phone over and over again.

  156. Droid Razr – love the thin design

  157. This is a very daunting question, however I know most people would pick the Galaxy Nexus(GN) or the Samsung Galaxy S II (SGSII) because they have such big screens and the AOSP android update (for the GN). However I’m afraid I cannot live with out sense and some awesome music, so my choice is simple. The Sensation XE not only gives an awesome red and black look that matches beats audio, but it also has power to run the latest sense. The 4.3 inch screen along with the very modern design would last me longer than anything Samsung makes..Flimsy plastic, meet real material!

  158. Galaxy nexus! go samsung!!!

  159. My good ol Nexus one.  Got it almost 2 years ago and still running solid.

  160. Galaxy Nexus

  161. Nexus. Standard answer: want the hardware to keep up with platform progress.

  162. Honestly, I’m happy with my Droid R2D2. Sure, it’s not the best one out there, and sure, I overpaid for what amounts to a custom case and some ringtones, but I still love it.

  163. I would like the new Galaxy Nexus because of Android 4

  164. definitely the galaxy nexus because of its beautiful screen and amazing hardware and software (ICS FTW!!!)

  165. It would be the galaxy nexus because i actually want updates later in life.

  166. Galaxy Nexus of course because it is amazing and the fastest phone ever

  167. The Galaxy Nexus because it will continue to receive updates more quickly than any other phone.

  168. Samsung Galaxy Nexus!

  169. Nexus S… because it is a classic!

  170. Galaxy Nexus, cause then I dont have to worry about Verizon talking 6 months to test the next version of software (Ya hear me Verizon!!!)

  171. The only phone that would make me happy it would be the Samsung galaxy nexus, because its the phone that would be updated with newest version of android.

  172. Samsung Galaxy Nexus, because it’s the first phone with ICS!

  173. it would be the motorola droid pro, its got every thing i needed in a phone….
KEYBOARD…..the very important factor i decide to have while choosing my phones… and its got android 2.3… happy but sad for just one reason, it might not get ICS….. perfect for any occasion and can be used anywhere n every where…. after all its a phone…..

    y didnt this contest have a tablet or a phone for a give-away….? :( am sad……

  174. Galaxy Nexus, of course. It has the newest Technology!

  175. I’ll be a sheep and say Galaxy Nexus like everyone else, because
    a. It’s a beast.
    b. It’ll be updated to the latest version of Andy-roid probably before any other phone.

  176. I would gave to say the Samsung Galaxy SII Epic Touch. It’s got super hardware on a light and thin phone. Once it gets ice cream sandwich it will be hard to beat considering the plan and everything on Sprint!

  177. Galaxy Nexus….because vanilla is the best flavor! (camera could be better though)

  178. As of now, the Galaxy Nexus. If I can only use one phone forever, I’d want little bloat, fast speeds and no overlayed UI delaying my updates.

  179. The Motorola CLIQ. Because you said any phone and that phone sucks. Trolling. Trolling. Trolling down the river…

  180. I will only use the best!!!! Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch.  This Android system has everything to offer for my day to day business and personal use.

  181. The one I have – HTC Sensation 4G – because I like it, know how to use it and I’m happy with it.

  182. What Android phone to use for the rest of my life? Although mine has yet to arrive (backordered), Galaxy Nexus. I love my OG Droid and it has served me well, but…I am excited to finally harness the Ice Creamed, 4G, dual cored, super AMOLED screened monster known as Galaxy Nexus! Hurry up Dec 30th!

  183. Galaxy Nexus because of its quick updates!

  184. Samsung Galaxy Nexus…
    1) I can compile the stock ROM and kernel from source.
    2) the hardware really is awesome

  185. i would choose the iPhone! its just the best… hahaha just joking, the Galaxy Nexus is one step above in every aspect i can think of. its the most advance phone out there and its pretty damn sexy! So i will choose the Nexus!

  186. Galaxy Nexus, simply because its the best phone I’ve had

  187. I would keep my rooted EVO. It’s setup exactly how I want it, free wireless tether, and no Carrier IQ. Plus the developer support is fantastic.

  188. umm, hello – the Galaxy Nexus – all around super fast experience! (Although a better camera would be nice)

  189. Galaxy nexus because I know I would continue to get updates from Google for a long time.

  190. Galaxy nexus as it’s the best

  191. I’d probably go with the Samsung Galaxy Note, It’s got a nice big screen for movies, games, video, pics, doodling, and note taking.  It would keep me entertained.

  192. I was thinking of something very serviceable and popular like the original DROID or Incredible , but the Galaxy Nexus is probably a better bet since it is brand new and a nexus device should get better support.

  193. Galaxy Nexus on VZ..  Always updated by Google and the speed for the future with the best coverage in my area.

  194. Galaxy Nexus, Upgrade ability.

  195. Mmm stagenat technology.  Not my favorite topic.  However, if I had to chose any one Android phone to use for the rest of my life? I would chose my HTC Evo 4G, it’s the perfect size for my hand.  And? It’s taken my repeated abuse w/out incident.  I love the device, and when it’s time for us to part? I will do so with fond memories.

  196. I’d have the Epic Touch – fully AOSP with ICS. Why? Because at that configuration, it’s about the best phone on the planet for a while…

  197. the Sony xperia play because i love to use emulators and thats the perfect phone for them

  198. I would probably stick with the Droid 3 because there are times that I really miss the separate keyboard for when you want to type out longer messages.  It was one of those phones that I upgraded from just because the newest/latest/greatest came out and I had an upgrade available and for that reason alone. Those are the ones you end up regretting.

  199. Galaxy Nexus.  I got through 2+ years with the OG Droid.  Hoping the Nexus can get me through eternity!

  200. Droid Razr
why? so that I can do this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crQDj1_YQrY
and then give it to someone I dislike (without wiping it of course)
and theeenn get a Galaxy Nexus and live happily ever after :)

  201. I was say galaxy nexus… even though I don’t have Verizon

  202. I would have to go with my xperia play because of, portability, gamepad, and battery life(:

  203. I would use the Galaxy Nexus because of its many features, including  a 4.65-inch 1280×720-pixel HD screen and the ability to take 1080p video.

  204. Best phone for me nexus one.  Best phone I have had to date.  Great size and super fast.  But I might change my mind after i try the galaxy nexus.

  205. The Galaxy Nexus because it’s a Nexus phone and I really want ICS. I’m currently on an Atrix, so I have no idea if I’ll be getting ICS.

  206. Galaxy Nexus. Ice Cream Sandwich! And I trust it to get Jelly Bean sooner than any other phone currently on the market

  207. well Ive played with the htc  Evo 3D at the store and was quite inpressed so thats my pick cause you get bored with the 2D theres always 3D sorry I didnt enter last contest guys my vid would have knocked your socks off it started as one thing and ended as something way different, Hope you guys have a rockin holiday! oh yeah and vote for me  cause I love amozone Kindle Fire played it  in the store!

  208. I would pick the Galaxy Nexus because it’s the latest and greatest

  209. Galaxy Nexus.  Pure Google, no bloatware.

  210. If I had to choose a current phone, it’d have to be the Samsung Galaxy Nexus because I’m pretty much guaranteed future updates for at least a year. Also, gotta love the large screen and great specs.

If I can choose any phone, I’ll take the Galaxy S III. How awesome is that gonna be?

  211. Happy holidroid from Phandroid.com, LETS WIN IT BABY!!

  212. My good ol’ G1. Decent screen size, a bit clunky yes, but it had the best keyboard ever.

  213. The galaxy nexus lte because its back by Google so it will always get the latest updates and its 4g and I love me some speed.

  214. Galaxy Nexus. It will actually get updates!!!!

  215. Well I know everyone will choose the gnex but I’m stickng with my
bionic because I waited 9 freakin months for it.

  216. I’d have to go with the Nexus One. It has proven to be amazingly resilient to change, and maintains the most pure Google experience.

  217. Using HTC EVO 3D, it is one of the coolest 3D phone ever in the market.

  218. GalaxyNexus, since this phone marks the beginning of the best version of android. ICS and the specs of the Galaxy Nexus are all I would need on a phone.

  219. I would use my trusty ATRIX

  220. Galaxy Nexus because it would be up to date and having something like NFC seems like it’ll be useful in the near future.

  221. At this point, I will go with the crowd and say the Galaxy Nexus, too Though the new Deois would be my back up plan. Having onlypwned  the HTC Inspire, I am sure that either of these would offer a better experiance.

  222. Probably the galaxy nexus. Because at least it would be easier to load custom roms when official support is dropped

  223. The Motorola DynaTAC. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:DynaTAC8000X.jpg

I know, it’s not an Android phone, but it’s better than any Android phone could ever be, so…

  224. The nexus prime, despite the occasional case Google’s devices always get the latest version of android first, its 4G capabilities coupled with the cloud mean things like onlive will keep it up to date :) Even in 10 years time it will still sound like a transformer ;) Its gorilla glass will mean it wont break and I don’t think I will ever stop loving it ! :L

  225. I’d rock my G2 IMO…has enough power & has a classic feel to it.  Can stand the test of time….

  226. Galaxy Nexus GSM, because I would have the freedom tovuse nearly any carrier with the pentaband frequencies and it would have crazy long Cyanogenmod support.

  227. I think the Galaxy Nexus is the obvious choice.

  228. To be honest, while I’m not a fan of don’t-call-it Blur I would probably pick the Razr (or most likely the upcoming Razr Maxx) because I really like the solid build quality and the slim design and I feel like (software issues aside) it’s a phone that might actually survive my whole life in one piece. And I find it hard to believe that Google is not going to have at least a small presence in Motorola in the upcoming years, regardless of what they’ve said.

  229. Galaxy Nexus 32 GB. The HD screen serves a great purpose even after the rest of the features eventually become outdated. Watching movies on that thing will be awesome forever, especially with 32 GB. Not to mention the fact that it’s a Google device and will probably see the best support out of all announced phones at the moment. The only thing that bothers me about the Galaxy Nexus at the moment is that I don’t have one yet. An error that I will soon correct :D

  230. Without a doubt, hesitation, or question…. Galaxy Nexus!

  231. Have to go Nexus One. No other phone (besides maybe my beloved Sensation) holds a candle to this historic Vanilla Google phone in terms of build quality. The trackball is a hardware feature that should have never left especially in light of the removal of concrete softkeys. Not to mention that it will continue to receive software updates thanks to the amazing development community behind the Nexus One.

Feeling a bit nostalgic while concluding this since I sold my Nexus One in August.

  232. Best phone nexus one.  Didn’t have it but my wife did.  But I would love to try the nexus galaxy since were on verizon now.

  233. I would definately say Galaxy Nexus eventhough I’m on sprint because no bloatware, google firmware support, and screen size..

  234. Out of the current phones available I would go with the Galaxy Nexus (LTE). A big reason is the stock ICS, which means not having to wait for Samsung to skin the OS when Google puts out a new version of Android.

  235. Samsung Galaxy Nexus because it has stock Android… I hate skins

  236. Glaxy Nexus… I can’t handle not having the latest releases straight from google!

  237. Evo 3D. It’s a gimmick, but I like it, and it will last longer for me than a little extra memory or speed.

  238. Galaxy nexus, it does everything

  239. Galaxy Nexus b/c it has everything I want/need in my phone (for the most part).

  240. Galaxy Nexus for sure.

  241. I’d have to stick with a proven over tablet, though I’d probably prefer the galaxy nexus’ power in a nexus S form factor

  242. Galaxy Nexus, because it has the newest stuff I want.

  243. Nexus S. Solid speed, great size and stock android. ICS rolling out this month, so I’ll be using this one for awhile.

  244. I love my G2, and it can definitely hold it’s own. Great build and keeping up with the bigboys in every way.

  245. Hmm, well I haven’t tried many phone. I think I’ll say the Nexus S, just because it’s the best tried and true Nexus.

  246. How can anyone say anything other than the Nexus? Not me, either. Latest and greatest!

  247. I would use my Galaxy Nexus.

  248. The original droid 1…It was a tank, speakerphone was loud, hardware keyboard made remote desktop so easy as you dont lose screen real estate from the software keyboard.  It was a great phone that I only remember kind thoughts of…so If I had to choose one forever…it seems logical (though a droid4 could very well be the choice if bootloader was unlocked)

  249. I have to say I loved my nexus one. It was the perfect combination of elements. Battery life was great, the led indicator told me everything that had happened on my phone in my absence, paired with the track ball which helped me be more precise typing things. Loved it. Miss it. Stupid power button. :-( lasted 2 beautiful years.

  250. A Galaxy Nexus because you know it will at least officially get Jelly Bean.

  251. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus for sure! It’s the latest Android phone on the market plus I know it is the greatest and I would love it for the rest of my life!

  252. I’d go with my original htc droid incredible because it has served me well thus far.

  253. Zack Morris phone with that tasty Ice Cream Sandwich and a super amoled hd screen. Because it would be cool!

  254. I’d use my Galaxy S2 because it’s really awesome.

  255. galaxy nexus. so i could blink all fancy with notifications forever.

  256. I would use the Galaxy Nexus. Just got it and it is perfect for me. Big, NFC, great internals, and more. I want this for the rest of my life.

  257. my HTC Rezound! I love the dual core processor and the Sense 3.0. The Beats Audio is awesome. Of the 6 Android phones I’ve carried this one is my favorite!

  258. Galaxy Nexus. Fastest and smoothest android experience yet, plus an awesome camera.

  259. I would pick the galaxy nexus because I would have a fantastic phone that would constantly get updates directly from Google.

  260. I would have to say the Nexus Prime,… (clears throat) I mean the Galaxy Nexus, because I would get future android updates and be able to adapt to newer software coming our way :)

  261. My Nexus for sure. It’s a huge upgrade from my DInc. The OS is so snappy and much more intuitive. I’m loving every bit of it. Oh, and the camera! Instant shots is amazing.

  262. I’m very happy with my sensation 4g

  263. If it was starting today and all of the infrastructure was going to stay the same, I would go with the Galaxy Nexus; It is a very comfortable phone with great features and access.  If we lost some of it, I would probably go back to my env…it was a great little phone.

  264. as much as i would like a nexus… i would keep my motorola Atrix… first dual core phone… in the US at least… but the main reason… MY FINGERPRINT READER!!!! what better password than my finger… haha… i just need ice cream and ill be more than content…

  265. I’d most definitely have to say my Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic 4G Touch. Though it doesn’t have ICS or CM9 yet, I’m 99.9% positive it will sooner rather than later (CM7 kang already being tested!). It has a beautiful 4.5″ display, the inards are perfect for what I use it for and it’s taken a hell of a beating from all my flashing and toying around. It’s a powerhouse for sure and though it’s not a Nexus, it was a substantial upgrade from my Galaxy S1 Mesmerize which I absolutely loved too. I’d be perfectly happy being stuck with this phone for all of eternity haha :P

  266. Galaxy Nexus. Why? Cause it’s the friggin Galaxy Nexus

  267. Galaxy Nexus that I hope to win from Phandroid because the phone and Phandroid.com are so freaking awesome!!!

  268. Galaxy Nexus, because then I’d be guaranteed updates to the newest OS much longer than any other phone.

  269. I would use the razr! I like Motorola’s and big screens!

  270. Hands down the electrify. I live in a podunk little town in Iowa. Uscc has the best reception but no 4g yet. The kick stand is great. 8 mp camera for great shot up here in the rolling hills and on the Mississippi. Hdmi is the icing on the cake. Not sure what you are looking for in an answer for this but I hope this is a winner because working outside in the winter is the only down fall to living here. Fingers don’t really work on the touch screen. WINK WINK!!!

  271. It would have to be a nexus phone. They get the best support. Since I’m on Verizon, the galaxy nexus

  272. Galaxy Nexus, it’s the most recent nexus, so more Google support for longer etc.

  273. galaxy nexus, of course! I currently the nexus s and i need to experience a little HPSA+ action!

  274. Has to be the galaxy nexus!

  275. Since I just purchased the Galaxy Nexus and have been sleeping with it ever since, the GNex would be my pick.

  276. I don’t have it now, but I think something like a galaxy nexus would hold me over for a while.

Weird, my name is coming out scrambled on disqus =

    -Chris

  277. If I had to have any phone for the rest of my life, I would have to go with the obvious answer of the Galaxy Nexus. Not only for the obvious reasons like being completely stock, and being the first to receive the newest OS updates, but because of the technological advances of the phone itself. The 720p screen, the curved display, the NFC technology. Honestly, if there wasn’tthe war for having the biggest and baddest phone going on never ending, this phone COULD, with the proper care and maintenance, be the only phone you would need.

  278. I don’t have an android anything so not really sure but I would have to say GSM nexas because it is the last and greatest so has the most chances of future upgrades And GSM so I could use it on more carriers around the world

  279. Probably my newly ordered Galaxy Nexus. Given Google’s history of updating Android on the Nexus series on a regular basis and the overall feature set, I think I could find myself very happy with the phone for the rest of my life if necessary.

  280. I would choose the most powerful android phone out there and we all know which one that is ;), well the Galaxy Nexus of course. Btw who won the holidroid video challenge of december 16?? i dont think u guys have announce a winner yet :/

  281. Huh. Probably my Droid Incredible, as I already have it, and it has an active dev community; I’m running hw-accelerated ICS on it, and it’s fantastic. On the other hand, google wallet would be really nifty, if I could afford a GN…

  282. I would definitely stick with my nexus s. Perfect size, great battery life, and virtually no problems. I might marry it

  283. Galaxy Nexus now that its here I can finally sleep. The addiction has been tamed……for the moment.Nice to know I am not the only one with an Android addiction.

  284. My OG Incredible. It’s gotten me this far…

  285. It would be the Captivate Glide because it’s so underrated. It suits almost anyone! Prefer a hardcore, physical keyboard? WA-BAM! It has one. Fast processor? Has that too. Not to big, not too small, lightweight. It’s amazing.

  286. Galaxy Nexus, because then I’d be guaranteed OS updates with some of the best specs out right now

  287. It would be the gsm Galaxy Nexus because of carrier freedom, voip capabilities, and the developer support.

  288. Galaxy Nexus for sure. Great support and development community. Great screen. Just overall great LOL.

  289. GNEX.  It is only the BEST Smart Phone on  the Market.  Screen, Screen size, processor, OS, everything.  Wish I would win one.

  290. Galaxy Nexus. Just stick Google directly into my vein.

  291. I would use the HTC EVO 3D. Why? Because the dual-core processor will handle almost anything I throw at it, the dev community is rather interested in it, I find it to be an attractively styled phone, and 3D will continue to grow in coming years.

  292. I would probably go with a Samsung Epic 4G if I could only have one. My sister has one and I love the keyboard/big screen. Kinda makes me wish the 2 year contract was shorter.

  293. Great question… I’ve been able to work with an Eris, Incredible, droid X, Thunderbolt, and now a Bionic…… I have stuck with two major companies and fell in love with sense. I only went to Motorola to get a different U/I experience. the few times I played with the Samsung brands I couldn’t pull the trigger on a purchase because of the U/I though the screens are awesome which is why I am going with the INCREDIBLE by HTC for interface, camera quality, size and feel ( design ) lastly of course it included a super amoled which was Sammie’s best feature. If only it were a duel core 4G device.

  294. I would choose the Galaxy Nexus. It’s incredibly sexy and guaranteed better long-term support than any other phone currently on the market. Even if it breaks it will look great sitting on my desk!

  295. If the hardware, software and networks of mobile phones were to stay the same way  they are currently, it would have to be the LTE Galaxy Nexus.

  296. Galaxy Nexus, because ICS and it’ll receive quick updates.

  297. galaxy nexus- updates, stock, and lte

  298. I’d go with the samsung galaxy s2, it’s got rom support, nfc, a nice screen, and is just the right size.

  299. I’d go with the Galaxy Nexus. It’s powerful and an official Nexus device so it will get timely updates

  300. I would probably have the galaxy nexus because of all the devolopment for it

  301. I’d use the Galaxy Nexus. But I’m probably stuck with my old Droid until I get my wallet back.

  302. it would probably be a smart move to use a nexus device since you get all the latest google updates, but im going to have to go with the HTC Rezound, my phone is my music player :)

  303. I’d have to go with my old G1 IF it had better specs. Right now, my old Nexus One has been running great for the last 6 months with a broken power button, so I’m going with that. :)

  304. Galaxy Nexus, it’s the most recent Nexus phone so it should get supported the best for the longest time.  If I’m going to eventually have an incredibly outdated phone it might as well be well supported for as long as possible initially.

  305. Galaxy Nexus. Because it will still work very well when all the other ones are outdated.

  306. I would say the galaxy nexus 2. The radio is fix in this one.

  307. Although I would love the galaxy nexus, I would also be happy with my current Samsung galaxy S2 as long as it was running ICS. This software and hardware would be of the best Android has to offer. So not knowing what the future holds this is what I would currently pick.

  308. Galaxy Nexus, cause its a great phone and I’m loving the upgrade over my DX.

  309. It would have to be my Galaxy Nexus. The hardware is good enough to keep updates coming for a long time. I don’t want to be left behind after one, maybe two, updates.

  310. I would have to say the GSM Galaxy Nexus. While it would be nice if it had Tegra 3 in it or some other quad-core, I’d at least know that I would be guaranteed update for the life of the device and for awhile after in the private scene. I would also have the ability to play the latest games on it for a good while, but then continue to enjoy the classics via emulation long after the device gets supported. Since the internet is still formatted for use at 1024 width, I’d know that it would be displayed correctly in landscape at the very least until that standard changes. Because it is the GSM model, I would have the ability to travel around the world and not have to worry about finding a company that supported my phone, while also giving me companies to choose between when I got there. And finally, since it is a true “Google Phone”, I’d know that I’d be in some way supporting the Android ecosystem financially; I want it to have a nice long run.

  311. SGSII because when it gets ics it’ll be the best phone out

  312. I would go with the SGS2, it is the only phone that I am jealous of. Don’t get me wrong I love my HTC Doubleshot, but the big screen, and wide developer support of the SGS2 is why I would pick it.

  313. I would also really like the galaxy nexus but maybe a sprint varient that would be nice.

  314. I would choose the Galaxy Nexus because it has the latest version and will continue to have the latest version of android. And it’s a Nexus.

  315. Galaxy Nexus because of its silky smooth feel and probably lifetime updates. For me the only phone that would probably last a lifetime :)

  316. Nexus One because its too perfect of a phone

  317. Galaxy Nexus because it is the phone of the future. NFC will be ubiquitous soon.

  318. I would use my Samsung Galaxy S II Epic Touch 4G because with a name that long there’s no way you can’t  become best friends. It has been my first Android and I think was struck by tech-cupid himself. I foresee it just really helping me out down the line whether it be with work, travel, or sharing a simple moment with my girlfriend. Although it seems like my Samsung is just a device I feel like its a catalyst in the subconscious that leads to great moments in my life. Here’s to the next two years!

  319. the galaxy note
because of sheer power and i could port new operating systems on it

  320. i’ll have to pick the Galaxy Nexus as well for the same reasons as everyone else..

  321. HTC HD2 who the hell knows what you can put on that thing. 6 os’s and counting

  322. Definitely the Galaxy Nexus. I can’t imagine any phone right now that will continue to receive updates longer than it. Also, it has many breakthrough features that other android phones still do not have.

  323. Samsung galaxy s2 since its light, thin and has a big screen. The processor can handle whatever I want to do and since the update we no longer have the los issue.

  324. I would have to choose the Galaxy Nexus. With 4G LTE, ICS, the quality of the build, and the support you know it will receive for a decent amount of time makes it a fairly easy choice if I was to be able to only have one phone forever.

  325. Who won fridays contest?

  326. The galaxy nexus because i will get the latest updates, it has an awesome screen and stock android FTW

  327. No brainer… Galaxy Nexus. Pure Android. Zero shutter lag. Panoramic photos. Ability to buy bigger battery. NFC. Need I say more?

  328. A nexus device for sure, I prioritize the software updates. So galaxy nexus, hooooooooo!

  329. If I could have only one Android phone for the rest of my life, I would choose the Droid 3 because it is one of the last phones with a keyboard and is very reliable to me, and almost has a working ICS build already, so that should be here soon. Meow cat cat meow. I like trains.

  330. The Galaxy Nexus, that phone is a beast and kills any other phone out right now

  331. I would use my curent phone, the Motorola Atrix 2. The main reason is that it has such expandable memory (8 gigs internal and up to 32 gigs on an sd card). This allows for more than enought room for any apps that I may need in the future as wellas any OS upgrades. On top of the memory capacity, I simply love how the Atrix 2 works and its features are awesome.

So pick me!!! I’m as random as the next guy….

  332. The Galaxy Nexus. It should have a lot of future updates by Google, and because its a Nexus phone, it should be receiving unofficial updates through all of the different developers in the world. It would easily be the phone I would use, that is currently available, for the rest of time.

  333. Everyone says a nexus phone. My choice is my first android experience, the droid x. Love streaming me some movies on that screen. It’s what I started with and no doubt if I had a choice it’s what I would finish with. Sorry Gnex, I’m just not ready to move on from my first love :-)

  334. Galaxy Nexus. Because of the development and pure ics.

  335. I have loved my Dinc, but i’m ready for a bigger screen, so my answer is G-nexus, because it’s pure google, big screen, NFC, etc.!

  336. I would use the galaxy note because no one’s ever gonna come out with a phone bigger than that one

  337. I definitely love my 3VO, the ability to grab a 3D picture and still have 99% of the ability of most other phones is excellent! However, if they gave me a Nexus Galaxy with 3D, well…..

  338. The Nexus One had everything I could of wanted in an android phone. From the notification light to the clean version of the OS. I’m only upset it never released onto Verizon or Sprint.

  339. I am loving my new GNEX!! I wish everyone could have a phone this good.

  340. HTC Edge. Quad core and LTE. It will keep me ahead of the curve for a while.

  341. Like many of the others, I would have to say the Samsung Galaxy Nexus LTE. It is the best phone available right now so it would have to stand up the longest. The LTE antenna gives it the maximum available download throughput and again will make life more bearable if this is the phone I have to use for the rest of my life.

  342. Epic 4g. Because that is what I have now and it works great.

  343. if i had to use any phone my whole life i would probably stick with my ally..my not be the fastest or have the best screen size but in my opinion the dev community is huge and has made this phone do amazing things

  344. The amaze 4g. Better camera than my current sensation and potentiometer for tmobiles 84meg 3g/4g.

  345. Since I have not used the Galaxy Nexus I cant vote for that…yet.
Up to today I would have to vote for my old HTC-DINC (an original with the SMOLED screen). It did everything I wanted. Music, Video, Exchange, FM radio, Games, even the sense interface was easy to work with, I thought I was trading up for the D2 but I really miss that DINC.

  346. galaxy nexus, because i dont like any ui.

  347. Honestly a galaxy nexus. It has a big screen which i need for texting with my huge hands, it has awesome battery life, it will receive updates for the life of it, its VERY thin, has 4G, and its a samsung so its light and strong.

  348. The galaxy nexus. Phones will continue to improve but having such a solid phone with the ability to send texts, do videocalls and  that has a great GPS app would be more than enough for me for quite a while…

  349. I would pick the samsung galaxy note. Part phone and part tablet. Put on t-mobile service and i am a happy android fanboi.

  350. Galaxy Nexus. I am loving it so far!

  351. I have the galaxy nexus and could probably stivk with it for the reat of my life :)

  352. Asus Padphone! I know it’s not released yet but it has been at least officially announced.  Keeping my fingers crossed for Tegra 3:) And really, who doesn’t love the idea of a two in one

  353. Galaxy Nexus. it’s pure Google, has great specs, large screen. Pretty much everything i’d want in a phone forever. Screens aren’t going to get any bigger, speeds are going to trickle down to smaller and smaller gains…it’s a legacy device that could very well take me through a few contract signings – until another Gphone drops by of course. :)

  354. Most definitely the Droid X.  “X” marks the spot….DROOOOOID!

  355. I would have to go with the galaxy nexus, I want a google experience. But anything is better than my iphone 4 on AT&T.

  356. Nexus One beacause because I keeps it old skool.

  357. Not my Droid 2. Anything else! I want a galaxy nexus like my husband so i guess that!

  358. nexus one: build quality size reliability it simply always worked. it was (is) a work horse

  359. Any Nexus – Instant updates and no carrier/manufacturer crap.

  360. For the longest time I would have said that nothing could touch my Droid X.  I loved that phone and it’s been through Hell and back with me.  But now that I have the Galaxy Nexus, I can’t see myself going back to a non-nexus device.  It’s amazing.

  361. Galaxy S II. Its the best phone that I’ve used (haven’t played with the Nexus yet).  And it will have CM support for a long time :)

  362. A Galaxy Nexus, because as a developer I always want to check out the latest possibilities of the platform.

  363. I would want the Universe Nexus S 5 Prime Ultimate Infinite Singularity. Because once Android singularity is achieved, we’ll truly be in a nexus.

  364. Motorola Photon because it’s a girl’s best friend for any “go to” info, picture sharing, and social networking!

  365. my galaxy nexus – best one yet!

  366. Nexus for Google Wallet

  367. epic 4g touch because it’s the best phone on Sprint which is the only carrier that ports google voice phone #.

  368. The galaxy nexus. Powerful, pretty, and a dev phone!

  369. I would use the Nexus “Prime” simply because it does not exist yet and the hopes that Asus would make a Quad core Phone to rock beside their Transformer “Prime” tablet. It would be a beast device that would run and run well as well as being able to support Android update for a long while! Not only that but it would be Nexus a pure Google experience. Although this is not here yet I know it would be a compatible phone for me for a lifetime as well as everyone else.

  370. Galaxy Nexus hands down! Got it the first day. No need to root but I probably will!

  371. Galaxy s 3 please!

  372. I’d keep the Galaxy Nexus. This thing was definitely worth the wait, and I can see myself using this phone for the long haul.

  373. If i had to use an android phone for the rest of my life it would be the Motorola defy because its the only phone that supports any kind of environment

  374. Nexus One. My first android and my favorite. Touchwiz was modded for it, you could run stock, CM, or even Sense. I’ve move on to bigger and better, but I miss her.

  375. I would choose the Galaxy Nexus because im 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% sure i would get support from both Google and Rom Developers. Oh yeah, i love flashing roms and kernels and themes and mods and radios and etc…. If MIUI was supported on the Galaxy Nexus, it would be my dream come true. Forever MIUI~~~~ <33333

  376. The Galaxy Nexus, or whatever is next in the nexus line.

  377. the galaxy nexus so i can be the coolest kid on the block.

  378. galaxy nexus bc it is easily the best phone ever conceived

  379. Next year’s model. ;)

  380. My Nexus S, still loving it. Even more now.

    1. Barely made the cutoff! :D

      1. damn. i should’ve won just for being that close. congrats to ashley, though.

  381. I would get the Galaxy Nexus because it is the best ohone out right now and will definitely get lots of support from Google. I love my SamsungFascinate, but you kinda have to go for the new things and forget the old ones.

  382. It would be the galaxy nexus because I can unlock the phone with my face for the rest of my life! I

  383. Easy its got to be made by Samsung its either galaxy s or a nexus & I’ve had both so I got to say the nexus is the the pinnicale of android each year everyone looks to it

  384. Of course, the Galaxy Nexus. It’s pure Google at its best. Fast updates from Google and great Samsung hardware.

  385. I would like the Samsung Galasxy Nexus simply because it’s the best thing since sliced bread.

  386. Motorola razr

  387. The Nexus 3000 that will fall back in time through a wormhole.  You know, the one with the quantum processor and 10 year battery life.

  388. My HTC Evo 4G because I’ve stuck this long.  The EVO 3D, GSII wasn’t enough for me to upgrade.

  389. Galaxy Nexus because it is a beautiful phone that im sure will only get better with time.

  390. i loved my ogDroid, but I’m not sure if I could keep that for the rest of my life. I would have to say from the current crop of phones it would have to be the galaxy nexus. Nothing beats a pure Google experience phone.

  391. Galaxy Nexus! It seems like google’s flagship phones have long lifespans. I like the form factor too!

  392. For right now I am thinking Droid Razr only because it looks more solid then the Galaxy nexus S II. The Droid Razr has gorrilla glass but the Galaxy doesn’t. Plus anything droid which google is gunna buy out is going and will be awesome! I know I may be late for the contest but hopefully you can make an exception ;D You never know!

  393. I would use an iPhone…because I’m creative…

  394. The original Droid.  It may be a terrible phone these days, but it’s still a great hammer. These new fandangled light phones make for terrible paper weights.

  395. Easily the Galaxy Nexus, with its sleek design along with running the latest in Android software. You cannot ask for more than this.

  396. If I had to stick with one Andy device forever it would have to be a Nexus device. Preferably the newest but I suppose any would suit. Straight from Google updates and the longest software support makes my choice an easy one. Thanks Google!

  397. It has to be my DINC! It was my first android phone and it has treated me so well! :) My contract is almost up and theres no way I’m getting a new phone!

  398. Google Nexus. It might not have the top of the line hardware but with a huge support from phandroid and other android support sites it’s a win win.  GNexus is a true stripped down google phone that will last for time to come with updates and ROM’s.

  399. The Android I would use FOREVER would be my HTC EVO 4G! I have it personalized PERFECTLY! I have all my pictures of my kids from the time they were babies, all my favorite music, wallpaper, movies and all the cool apps that are applicable to me and what I do in my everyday life! I got my 32gig SD card duplicated so if something should ever happen to my EVO 4G I would get my other replacement EVO and slip in my SD and it will be all good! I pay my bill 2 months at a time so I never have my service interupted. I know that in about a year or so I will qualify for and upgrade but I DON’T WANT IT UN-UH! I already bought a replacement EVO! Just incase, that I keep in a fireproof safe! So I’m not only saying I would use the fantabulous HTC EVO 4G for the rest of my life I MEAN IT!

  400. Motorola Photon, because it is a dual core beast with global capabilities!

  401. I’m sticking with my EVO 4G. Devs have kept it in the game. Soon I will even get some of that tasty treat!

  402. Nexus S 4G on Sprint. I love the phone and it does what I need it to do perfectly. As long as I have the Android community and a rooted phone I am good to go!

  403. I would have to say, at this point, a Galaxy Nexus.  I don’t have one just yet, but I am holding out for Best Buy or AT&T to announce their version for AT&T’s network…  hopefully this week, though I probably shouldn’t hold my breath.

  404. galaxy nexus, because it will always be one of the first to get software updates and its hardware is always gonna be good enough for normal use

  405. Sony Xperia Mini Pro. It’s fast, fits anywhere and has a great keyboard. Most underated phone of the year.

  406. Galaxy Nexus, because its new

  407. Galaxy Nexus.  The greatest android experience I’ve had so far!

  408. G1 but with a 1.5Ghz dual core

  409. Galaxy Nexus! I love it to death and AirDroid is making it even more wonderful! Can’t wait for my extended battery though ;)

  410. Samsung Galaxy Nexus. The question should be “why not?”

  411. Galaxy Nexus GSM/HSPA+ for the most flexibility of networks and countries it would work in and the best futureproofing and hackability, and least dependence on ongoing support from the manufacturer and carrier.

How could anyone choose anything else?

  412. Nexus Prime! It is without a doubt, the best android phone out now, and I love the minimalistic look of it and the new Android 4.0 is to die for.

  413. My SGS II. ICS will come to it at some point be it through root or an actual OTA update. I love its form and screen. I don’t have any problems running apps on it too.

  414. The galaxy nexus because it is pure google and the developer support

  415. Gnex! Cause i have no upgrades left

  416. Htc evo for one simple reason.  This is one badazz phone!!!

  417. Galaxy Nexus: No brainer. 4g LTE on Verizon, huge screen, NFC, panoramics, fast, and beautiful :)

  418. Galaxy Nexus because it is simply amaaaaaaaaaaaazing!

  419. Asus Padfone because it doubles as a tablet

  420. g1 because it is the first..

  421. It would have to be the Galaxy Nexus. It’ll be updated for ages. Great hardware.

  422. I’d be the OG Droid…the phone that really changed everything.

  423. The Galaxy Nexus GSM
    – Ability to supply your own SIM gives you free reign on which network to connect to and international capabilities- 1280×720 screen- Google phone with no carrier fluff and quick updates- Fast as anything else on the market at this time- Whether its ICS or not, that camera is fast

  424. I would definitely have to go with the Galaxy Nexus knowing there isn’t any manufacturer’s bloatware and it’s Android as it’s meant to be experienced. Plus the direct updates from Google don’t hurt either :)

  425. It would probably be the droid razr. Not on Verizon but but specs look good, it’s thin, you can use an expandable sd, and if it not already, I’m sure eventually to modding community will have all sorts of roms and tweaks to keep me entertained for quite some time

  426. The galaxy note

It is taylor fit for my long term needs. I dint see a useful phone being any larger and its size eliminates me having to carry a tablet with me everywhere I go. I can toss my psp away as the screen accommodates fingers on touch controlled games without blocking the graghics. My wacom pad can be done away with due to the stylist. I done do a lot of sketching on the desktop anymore due to time constraints but I could doodle to my hearts content on the note. Being animator I could show off clips and animatics with nearly the same connivance as a tablet. I will never own any touch screen device that isn’t amoled so im covered there. In essence the note just combines more things in to one that I need and want than any current phone or tablet. Unless other companies copy the note to the letter I really don’t see a device of its kind being repeated.

  427. Isnt it obvious? Galaxy Nexus! Cant get enough of that 720p and ICS.

  428. Would have to be my new gn! Fast and ics is awesome

  429. Galaxy nexus, 4g speeds, awesome screen, love the size.

  430. I would use my Thunderbolt, only because I am not eleigible for an upgarde until February. By that time, I would look at what is the latest and greatest, then I would accidentally run over my Thunderbolt so I had a good reason to updgrade.

  431. Definatly my galaxy nexus. Hands down most complete android phone i’ve used so far. I have rooted or messed with many friends android’s over the last two years, and this is the first one I havent felt the need to root and rom out of the box. ICS is amazing and being a nexus I know this will get updates for a couple of years (yes I know Nexus One didnt but it didnt have enough memory). Oh yeah, Verizon 4g is getting me 16mb/s download and 10mb/s upload.

  432. I think I”d go with the as yet to be released quadcore – – HTC Edge – – Assuming its battery is stalwart enough to handle the four cores and LTE. That way, from a moving forward perspective…I’d have the best chance at being certified for updates to the OS as long as possible.

It’s totally either that one, or the Droid 42 which I think  already has a rumored release sometime in Q1 2012….

  433. The Galaxy Nexus because of all the abundant accessories to keep me satisfied and entertained.

  434. Galaxy Nexus – instant picture, no waiting

  435. HTC EVO (rooted of course) cuz it is a super nice phone thanx to all the decay bringing out its full abilities…awesome

  436. International Galaxy Nexus.  Best community you could ever ask for in developers, and a restriction free phone to use around the world.  Its not the watered down one that Verizon has, or if Sprint ever gets one.

  437. Galaxy Nexus… because they say it’s future proof and it’s big, bright and beautiful

  438. I would choose the Galaxy Nexus because it would continue to get Android OS updates for the longest period of any current Android phone!

  439. Don’t know if this is too late, but I would say that I will be happy with the Galaxy Nexus for a looong time.  It’s fast, it has a beautiful screen, and it should be kept up to date with the newest versions of Android for awhile.  At this point, it has everything I need in a phone and more.

  440. I would use a galaxy nexus because it is the cutting edge in terms of pushing new technology into cell phones. Also I know that I would be guaranteed os updates for a couple years and get amazing development community support.

  441. My nexus s 4g. Its got all my stuff on it and I guess eventually sprint will get it together and give us a good signal.

  442. Galaxy Nexus. I don’t want any crapware and I want a phone that will get the latest Android updates.

  443. Galaxy Note because it is the most advanced ~5 inch phones which are the only usable ones for me now since the dell streak.

  444. Right now it would be the Galaxy Nexus that I am posting this reply with lets hope it can keep up with about 65 yrs of updates and ROMS

  445. It would def be my new Galaxy Nexus! Fast, sleek, sexy and runs great!

  446. My HTC Thunderbolt CM7 + Phandroid = Awesome!

  447. Galaxy Nexus!! Because it is an awesome phone!

  448. I would say Galaxy S II i9100 or Galaxy Nexus because both are unlocked and allow me to move between carriers. In the US they also guarantee unlimited data on AT&T at dumbphone plan prices with full speed data and the added benefit of flying under AT&T’s tethering scanner.

  449. My new Galaxy Nexus.

  450. i dont know what timezone this crap is in so ill leave a response anyhow.
i choose the HTC Vivid cause its the one i’ve got and i dont plan on living very long.

  451. I really dig my Epic 4G Touch, but you’ll only get my OG Evo when you pry it from my cold, dead tired from flashin’, fingers.

  452. My amazing SGSII (Maybe the upcoming SGSIII). Everything the iPhone is and more. Light, flexible, powerful, fast, heavily supported, many custom ROM options, great camera.

  453. HTC Amaze bescause of its build quality.

  454. Hands down for me it would be the Evo 3D. This is because I am drawn to the HTC phones. I’ve owned an HTC Hero, 2 original Evo 4g’s and this is by far the best of them. To me the HTC Evo was Android’s go to guy when we wanted to show some iPhone guy what was up and the 3D builds on that with a dual core processor to make a faster and snappier Evo. Like the original, but better. So, me without question it would be the Evo 3D.

  455. Galaxy Nexus.

It should have the best software update

  456. MyTouch 4G! Great battery life, lots of custom roms, and an over all great design.
    Thanks!

  457. i would use the galaxy nexus simply because it is the latest and greatest, and will get Google Support longer then most other options out there.

  458. I’d say my sensation because of the aluminum shell is likely to last longer than plastic

  459. Galaxy nexus and for the updates

  460. Oh the Galaxy Nexus of course! So much great developer support for it!

  461. my rezound I love the headphones and htc sense is too bad on it

  462. samsung galaxy nexus

  463. If the Galaxy Note was out in the U.S, I would say that phone because of the screen size and the stylus pen. But, I will say the Samsung Galaxy Epic 4G from Sprint. Other than the buggy gingerbread update, its a solid phone. I like the option of using the on screen keyboard our the slide out keyboard. The only way I will upgrade from this phone is if they come out with a better phone WITH a slide out keyboard

  464. galaxy nexus, because nexus phones are some of the longest lasting and easiest to upgrade

  465. It would have to be the Nexus; it gets all the OS updates first.

  466. I would have to go with the Samsung Stratosphere, even though I wouldn’t normally get it at all because it’s not quite superphone sized or specced it comes the closest while still keeping that physical thing with actual buttons known as a keyboard; that I will continue to cherish, love, and stubbornly hold on to for the rest of my life.

  467. HTC Rezound based on hardware in it. Once CM9 comes out it will be great.

  468. My evo 3d….it really handles everything I do and has never let me down

  469. Galaxy Nexus, because it has high screen resolution and fast processor. It’ll probably be out of date in 2 years, but it may still be viable for years after that.

  470. Galaxy Nexus; two words, future proofing

  471. i would totally use the htc incredible, as its the most stable phone ive ever seen and it just works

  472. Probably say the Rezound. I currently have the thunderbolt and have actually had good luck with it. I think the Rezound would be a good upgrade

  473. I love my Droid RAZR!  I would pick it.  4G speeds, slim design, huge, beautiful screen.  What’s not to like?

  474.  Galaxy nexus..android + ics + nfc = winner

  475. Samsung galaxy nexus. This phone is a beautiful work of art. I’m using it to type this and its smooth as butter.

  476. Galaxy Nexus, the ability to keep it current should last for years to come.

  477. Samsung galaxy S II because its been around for over a year and is still regarded as a top tier target for new phones to compete with and in cell phone years, things change quickly but it still manages to kick some @$$

  478. The DROID 4. LTE dual core and a keyboard!

  479. Galaxy Nexus.  First one with ICS and will most likely have the next 2 (hopefully) updates as well

  480. i would go with my rezound because it has great spec and i like sense alot but im still really excited to see what the devs will be able to do once s-off comes

  481. I would have to choose the Galaxy Nexus because the Nexus devices almost always keep up-to-date with the latest version of Android, and the Galaxy Nexus is a beast!

  482. The Galaxy S II seems like a good bet for the long haul.  Wish there was a keyboard-equipped variant though (apparently the captivate glide just can’t cut it :( )

  483. just got my galaxy nexus today, and it is nice. I think I could live with this for the rest of my life. it has just about all the technology I know of that I might need…

  484. Razr cus it is awesome and super thing

  485. Galaxy Nexus. Pick me randomizer!

  486. I would keep my Epic 4G Touch, love everything about this phone!!!

  487. Disqus blows…. I would get the galaxy nexus for pure google experience.

  488. HTC EVO 3D (aka evo v2.0). When I upgraded from the EVO 4G, I could not find an excuse to go back even though the 4G was still kicking butt with its 8M HD camera HDMI-out and great battery life for a smartphone. With a dual core processor and gpu, dual rear camera with 3D and dedicated camera button, qHD display, MHL support (HDMI + charger), eye-candy HTC Sense, and double battery support, the pocket computer, I mean EVO 3D will remain a top competitor for at least a decade – or when the EVO 4D comes out.

Bundle it with the upcoming Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC Sense and Ballistic HC case, this phone is indestructible. Don’t forget, it’s supposedly made in Taiwan not China. Moreover, if HTC is facing a potential lawsuit from Apple, HTC is definitely doing something correct.

Remember EVO 3D has a GSM as well as a CDMA version so it can be considered a World Phone.

  489. Casio Commando.  If I have to use it the rest of my life (hopefully 60+ years) I want something that will survive the zombie apocolypse!!!

  490. I would have to go with the Galaxy note, I don’t really like Samsung devices all that much but that huge screen is amazing

  491. Galaxy nexus, ldo!

  492. Galaxy Nexus.  Love it.

  493. Huawei Ascend. Because this thing has been through damn near everything and I’m pretty sure it’s unbrickable. It may not be the fastest/most powerful phone, but this mf’er is gangster.

I’m probably too late again, but oh well.

  494. PadFone. Tegra 3 processor, HD screen AND it can be docked as a tablet? That is probably as close to future proof as I can imagine.

  495. After having the Galaxy Nexus for 3 days, i would have to say it is the best i have ever had. I have had the G1, Cliq, Mytouch 3g slide, G2, Mytouch 4g, Evo 4g, Evo 3d,   Droid Bionic, Htc Rezound, and now the Nexus. Nexus blows them all away. So, Nexus it is!!

  496. I would use the Galaxy S2 because it has the best camera, great speeds, and good dev support.  If it’s my last phone I want the camera to be the best it can be to stand the test of time.

  497. Bionic. Im hoping after ics hits it won’t matter what phone I have.

  498. I would have to pick the Droid Razr Max. Bc it is a durable and it a 4g lte phone. The real selling point is the durability because tht would make it last even longer :-)

  499. That’s a tough decision. My Galaxy Nexus has been the best so far, and I think it could last me a long time.

  500. My HTC hd2. This phone is a beast and I love the supportive community. I haven’t upgraded because I love it so much.

  501. DROID RAZR for sure! I love how its made of durable materials and it is a 4g lte phone. Awesome phone that is sure to last

  502. It would be the Galaxy Nexus on Verizon. Not because it’s everyone’s favorite phone but its capabilities as a developer device. Having an unlocked bootloader and superuser permissions gives me the customization that I need to make my phone my own; different from other android phones.
HDMI out is a plus when I either want to play an emulator or watch Netflix (coupled with unlimited data and LTE of course).
Even though phones are always getting better every year, a Galaxy Nexus for me would probably never be replaced.

  503. I would go with the next Nexus series featuring a quad-core processor.

  504. the samsung galaxy s 2.

it offers the openness of android with the power of an iPhone

    What more could you want?

  505. If it has to be one that is out now it would have to be the phone I have now, Galaxy Nexus. Most up to date phone with ICS and NFC a veritable alphabet soup.

  506. It won’t be any one for rest of my life … coz life never goes without changes
change is the rule of nature .

  507. Dinc 2…unlocked bootloader and good battery life

  508. DINC was awesome and still outruns a lot of my friends phones.

  509. I couldn’t live with one phone for the rest of my life, that would drive me insane! I like technology and gadgets too much to be stuck with just one, that’s my answer.

  510. Droid Razr.. it’s a good size, great processor.. worst comes to worst, just put the latest CM build onto it.

  511. If I had to choose one phone for the rest of my life. It would have to be the Galaxy Nexus on Verizon. Your set for timely updates for the future of your phone and got Verizon’s cell service and LTE!

  512. The Droid incredible because it has been incredible since the beginning

  513. I am still rocking the HD2 and think I could use it forever especially with the developer community behind it!  Who knows what else they will be able to port to this classic!

  514. Droid Razr because of its slim design, excellent build quality with the kevlar backing the hardware is future proof and also sexy.

And also with the impending acquisition of Motorola by Google, updates more than likely will be on time and stable hopefully. And also because with the purchase of a Motorola you’re supporting American business.

  515. The Galaxy Nexus looks pretty sweet. I was able to look at one for a moment today. Also, I’m sure it will get android updates for a while.

  516. If it were the only Android phone I could have for the rest of time, I’d probably invest a bit of money into designing my own phone. I might base it around an AMD Z-01 class processor (the Z-01 features and 80-core GPU about 9x faster than the Tegra 2 250 T25). Ideally, I’d go for a quad-core variant of the Z-01, assuming something like that is available. If not, Tegra 3 would likely perform well enough to last a good while.

It would need a Pentaband UTMS radio of course, and ideally LTE compatibility too. Screen size, 4.3-inches, but with no physical buttons on face of the phone to keep it closer to a 4-inch form factor. A 2000+mAh battery would be good, though it would probably put the overall thickness of the phone around 11mm. Sony Exmor R image sensor, FFC, NFC, etc. This of course would be running pure Android ICS+.

If I had to choose a phone available right now, it would be the GSM Galaxy Nexus. Sure, its GPU is a wee bit weak, but its a very popular device, sure to draw a strong developer crowd. Plus it’ll get Android updates most reliably.

  517. I’d take the Nexus S 4g. Hands down the best looking phone EVAR.

  518. I wish I could say the Galaxy Nexus but its uber weak signal strength compared to the first LTE phone, the Thunderbolt, makes it a downer.  I’ll probably have to settle with the Rezound.

  519. Galaxy S2 because it’s big yet pocketable, hardware packed yet slim and fast. It performs efficiently while keeping battery going for an average time. It’s just perfect.

  520. Okay everyone, you’re all wrong.  If there was one Android device I had to use for the rest of my life it would be a device that is of my own creation.  It would be extremely powerful, thinner that a piece of cardboard, stronger than steel, and have a battery that would last for weeks.  Of course it would include a pico projector and HD cameras as well.  *Wakes up*  Damn it.  I must have been dreaming.

  521. I would go with the incredible 2. It has simply been the best phone I have used . It runs like a beast and have had zero problems with it. And that was on stock. After rooting it it makes it hard to even consider an upgrade……Which I have but then this phone draws me back in.

  522. My Samsung Skyrocket is the BeezNeez! Sammy just knows how to build a phone. SAMOLED plus is brilliant, love watching videos on my phone. The 4.5″ screen gives me plenty of room for keyboard and playing games and such. The battery life is truly the best of any smart phone I’ve used(and I’ve used a lot as a cellular sales Rep for one if the big 4). And somebody said it earlier bout these gs2 phones have a lot of dev support, that’s another thing I love…. but winning a gnex would be nice too lol

  523. I would have to say whatever the latest Nexus model is at the time. What Id really like, though, would be a pure Android tablet set up as a phone. You did say ideal…

  524. the droid razr maxx if possible once that phone comes out and gets ice cream sandwich it will be the best phone out currently the galaxy nexus is an amazing phone but mostly because the software. the razr is a more impressive piece of hardware and if the maxx is the same phone with any additional features its a winner

  525. For me it’s the Galaxy Nexus. I feel like this version of Android is one of the biggest milestones and the display is very nice too.

  526. Easily the Galaxy Nexus. The newest hardware, not only in terms of performance but features, is more important than the software on it. Newer firmwares and ROM’s could simply be flashed in the future.

  527. Samsung Galaxy S2!!! No doubt it is a close to perfect phone in today’s technology

  528. Droid razr because droid does, and Apple doesn’t. Yeah C’mon

  529. I would use the Nexus One, revolutionary device, and a great developer community that im sure would be able to put Android 49.0 on it somehow

  530. I wish to win.
If i had to use only one android phone. I would choose the Note. because it is big and small at the same time.

  531. The next Nexus phone

  532. LTE Galaxy Nexus. I love it, I think it’s the most perfect device I’ve had since my first iPod.

  533. Galaxy Nexus because, I mean, come on, it’s the G’nex.

  534. Galaxy nexus. I want a phone I can keep for two years at least. I k)now the nexus would be the best bet. Clean android and solid quality.

  535. The HTC HD2, when Android 5.0 comes out on SDK, which phone is most likely to have it first…? That’s right. HTC HD2.

  536. None other than the Galaxy Nexus. Amazing screen and popular with the hacker community so it gets all the cool stuff.

  537. I definitely feel that I could be content with the Galaxy Nexus for the rest of my life.  An OS that is fast enough for me, dual core processor, and such a sexy sexy display.  Plus I could run any and every ROM imaginable without any issue.  Happy times :)

  538. I think I’m late, but I’ll give it a go anyway…

Droid 3, because it’s the best phone out there with a physical keyboard.

  539. I would keep my Moto Atrix 4g.  I think it is one of the best phones that never got as much love as it deserves.  It has what I think is the perfect screen size at 4″, great battery life, decent back camera and a front facing camera.  The only thing it is missing is NFC but it seems like that is something that could possibly be built into SIM cards in the future.

  540. Galaxy Nexus, because it is probably the most future-proof device available right now.

  541. I would rock my Original G1! That’s right because any phone out today would be outdated if I’m blessed enough to live a long life anyway. But Everybody rocking those new school uber powerful phones would look at my phone and say… “That’s where it all started dude!”

  542. My Nexus One because it is the best phone I’ve has and also there is a great community for it.

  543. Though I haven’t gotten the Galaxy Nexus yet… I’m sure it’s the phone I’d want to last me the rest of my life.  I’ve heard good things, and I know it’s more powerful then my Epic… I have nothing whitty or interesting to say really.  Just know it’s what I’d want.

  544. I would use my new galaxy nexus.  This phone is awesome and super fast.

  545. I think i might be late but I’ll give it a go anyways.

TMO G1… all of these things won’t be here now without the first Android phone. It might be slow and not attractive.. but this phone started the Android Revolution.

    :)

  546. Galaxy nexus because I love the support that the nexus line receives.

  547. Samsung Galaxy S III

  548. Probably the Samsung Galaxy Nexus or the HTC Titan because of their huge screens and processing power.

  549. Droid 4 because I just saved up money all summer and bought the Droid 3 and then the day it was to late to return it Droid 4 info leaked! D3 is lacking in a lot of areas the D4 isn’t. =(

  550. Graciously accepting free gifts.

  551. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus because i waited forever for it and the least it could do is serve me for life!

  552. Galaxy nexus because it’s the newest nexus :-)

  553. My Nook Touch Reader. . .cause that’s how this thespian rolls.

  554. Galaxy s2 it’s the best phone and my current one

  555. You didnt say it had to be a currently released phone, so I’ll jump ahead in time and shoot for the ASUS Padfone (still a crappy name I might add)
mainly because If im forced to use it for the rest of my life, I surely wouldn’t mind having the tablet dock for when I need a little extra screen realestate or even just to throw my phone into when my battery starts getting low and I’m not near a charger.

I’m sure the community around such a device will be plentiful and I will be there right beside them. I shouldn’t have to much worry about updates. ;)

  556. Galaxy NEXUS hands down… Probably the GSM international version opposed to my Verizon LTE though.  Better compatibility globally.

  557. The g2x is a beast like chewy so I’d have to say I’d use it for all time its small yet large enough for my big hands and T-Mobiles 4g ish speeds rock I love the gorilla glass and the dual core speeds.

  558. Galaxy Nexus hardware in an HTC Droid Incredible profile. I like a smaller profile for a phone but want the goodness of ICS and faster performance.

  559. I’d use a Galaxy Nexus because the updates come directly from Google!

  560. I’m late but wanted to say… My OG Droid because it’s an awesome device, not only did it shot Android into the mainstream but I can say… “I can do more with my 2+ yr old Droid than your 4s!” Haha!!

  561. I would choose the Photon 4g. Since its bootloader can be unlocked it offers the best end hardware options. With Android 4+ and the lapdock and or multimedia dock I’ll be able to keep up with phone trends as long as I can get a signal..

  562. I would love to use my Droid2 R2D2 Edition, it may not be the fastest Android phone out there, but it definitely has personality and who doesn’t love Artoo?

  563. I would use a droid razr

  564. I choose the nexus as well. I started off with a mytouch and used that for the longest time. Then the nexus came along and blew me away with its speed and capability. No longer was I waiting and waiting for my home screen to load up.

  565. The G1….cause 3 years from now it will still be better than an iPhone.

  566. OG Droid. Unlocked bootloader + Cyanogen or PE just makes things work well.  Loved that phone, never going to forget it.

  567. Galaxy nexus because of it being the original ice cream phone. Plus the updates.

  568. Dinc for sure, speedy since day one and stable as a six-legged dog

  569. Please pick me I’ve tried this 10 times!!!

  570. is the timeframe past?

I’d use a galaxy nexus for the rest of my life, but it’d have to be a GSM version for global usage as well as for reasons of less verizon influence.

Let’s face it – long term, you need to be able to switch carriers.

  571. If I would use one android phone for the rest of my life, I would choose samsung galaxy SII bbecause this phone is what I think is the best android phone that I’ve seen. I currently have Samsung Galaxy but when the Galaxy sII was released, it has been my dream phone. Tha specs are really

  572. If I would use one android phone for the rest of my life, I would choose samsung galaxy SII bbecause this phone is what I think is the best android phone that I’ve seen. I currently have Samsung Galaxy but when the Galaxy sII was released, it has been my dream phone. Tha specs are really great.

  573. If I would use one android phone for the rest of my life, I would choose samsung galaxy SII bbecause this phone is what I think is the best android phone that I’ve seen. I currently have Samsung Galaxy but when the Galaxy sII was released, it has been my dream phone. Tha specs are really Great

  574. I’d have to go with the Galaxy S II.  Save for the screen resolution the hardware is near impossible to beat, its physical size is pretty close to perfect and it has great ROM support.

  575. Razr Maxx because I liked the x-files? Because I like x-men? because I like seX? YES!!!

  576. Galaxy Nexus. As for the reason, go play with one for 10 minutes and you’ll see why.

That said… I wonder what improvements next year’s Nexus will bring?

  577. Definitely the galaxy nexus cause its the best on the current market.

  578. The epic 4G Touch. Without a doubt has a quality feel and the same hardware as the galaxy Nexus so if it can perform the same but doesn’t feel cheap I’m all in

  579. It would have to be the Droid X because of all the things it has taught me about modding and rooting.

  580. Samsung galaxy s 2 epic touch, because it’s the best phone on the best network!

  581. I would actually choose the galaxy nexus. It’s the best phone I’ve had so far, which isn’t really saying much. Its been a huge upgrade from my old phones and really enjoy it.

  582. I really like the Droid 3. I enjoy the slide out QWERTY keyboard and just the smoothness of the phone.

  583. My Thunderbolt because it is what im used to.

  584. The international SGS2, with NFC. I have the international version, sans NFC, at the moment and I love it. Great screen, both size and quality. Fast performance. Ample memory. Wonderful size, weight, and feel in the hand. Very good camera performance – replaced my point-and-shoot. If it’s not going to be a vanilla Android experience then TouchWiz is the best alternative, in my opinion and after having used TouchWiz, Sense, and Motoblur on my everyday handset. Finally, the SGS2’s extremely minimalist styling is going to age a whole lot better than that of some of the various phones put out by competitors like HTC and Motorola.

  585. Infuse 4g. Because i will more than likely have to wait for all eternity before there will be a Gingerbread update or any update for the thing.

  586. My would have to be gnex… this phone is awesome and ics was perfected

  587. Galaxy Nexus FTW! Without a doubt!

  588. I wouldn’t want to keep one forever(I like the latest and greatest) but if I had to I would keep the GNex. Updates from Google, HD screen, dual core processor…ya that would work.

  589. My galaxy s2 because it is my first android phone and now favorite phone.  Had an Iphone 4 before it!

  590. The G1! 5 row keyboard and the original android phone.

  591. Galaxy Nexus, because we waited so long to get it, I’ll “never” give it up!

  592. Galaxy nexus

  593. Id have to say the Samsung galaxy S 2 with the exynos processor. Why? well first and foremost samsung has not locked bootloaders on the thing so its going to get cyanogenmod with ICS stock. It has a beautiful screen even if its not super high res like the newer phones. camera is amazing on it and its been hailed as one of best even next to the iphone 4. its pretty thin for the most part. good sized screen. really good storage options. Despite the fact its aging it can still hold up well against the newer competition minus the screens.

  594. If i had to use a phone for the rest of my life it would be the G1 because its the first android phone and in a decades, it will be worth millions(; . So hopefully I win this? Even though my chances are very slim :C

  595. I would bet the galaxy nexus would be a fantastic one to rock for a long time. being a nexus it is sure to have dev support for a long time plus it looks fantastic with great specs

  596. Just to be as future proof as possible, it has to be the latest and greatest Galaxy Nexus.

  597. galaxy nexus. updates, support, hardware and software.

  598. Has to be the Galaxy Nexus because it will be the most supported by both Google and third party developers!

  599. Samsung mesmorize. great screen and memory. little laggy sometimes but nothing I can’t deal with.

  600. HTC Evo 4G – SOOOOOOOOO many awesome roms and development!

  601. Galaxy Nexus because I said so.

  602. Samsung Galaxy note. It would be the best option because I couldn’t also have my tablet. I have a purse as a girl, so the extra size does not concern me. The included stylus is nice too.

  603. It was a hard choice but I guess I would have to pick the Galaxy Nexus. Besides it being a samsung (which I hate) it has NFC, dual core, the latest software, and a HD screen. Would have picked the RAZR if it had a HD screen and NFC.

  604. Atrix. Gotta love the fingerprint reader.

  605. Nexus 1 for many reasons… New standard among Android phones being the main reason.  I’ts like a purebred directly from Google.

  606. If I had to choose, probably the Galaxy Nexus. I have heard great things about the phone, and the fact that it uses the latest Android 4.0 software(aka ICS) makes it even more enticing. Of course there is going be bugs with every new phone out there. No phone, including the iPhone, are free from bugs. Once these bugs get discovered they can be typically fixed most of the time with a software upgrade. Also the fact that this phone carries stock Android makes it even better.

  607. I would use the Droid Eris because she was my first.

  608. Droid Razr if the battery would never fail, if it would & I couldn’t change it then the Bionic.

  609. I’ll just keep using my OG Droid, since I should just get used to something old and slow.

  610. I’m going with the newest addition to my Android family, the Samsung Galaxy S II. This phone has exceeded my every expectation and has even made me realize that T-Mobile isn’t really a crappy network and good god are the plans awesome. I just can’t imagine this phone ever feeling slow.

  611. Droid Incredible. I may not have 4G but that phone is an absolute tank that has seen everything and lived through it all. Cannot beat reliability.

  612. The GSM Nexus Prime because it’s all I’d ever need and I love the design!

  613. It would have to be a Galaxy Nexus. I can’t imagine spending the rest of my life wishing I had ice cream sandwich! Plus it should be the first or second phone to get jellybean!

  614. Nexus because I can count on google updates and have a nice camera :D

  615. a nexus if i can get one

  616. How about the HTC EVO 4G? Great phone, great developer community… how could you argue!?

  617. The Galaxy Nexus because of its great update support by Google and high quality hardware

  618. Galaxy Nexus. Because its awesome lol

  619. Too late

  620. I would go with the latest Motorola Droid with the mini-keyboard.

  621. DROID INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!

  622. Have to go with the GNexus. Loving this thing!

  623. I would use samsung galaxy nexus for the rest of my because it has huge display with the brightess screen

  624. My only smartphone so far is the Samsung Galaxy S; had it for 9 months, and I’m loving it, it’s amazing how many things can be done on the Android platform. To be honest, I’m pretty content with it, even though more and more powerful devices appear every month.

  625. The nexus phone, because it seems to be a beast of a phone. A family member of mine has it, and it has made me drool each time I saw it

  626. Galaxy Nexus, has everything you could ask for in a phone…

  627. Surely galaxy note, its the best device in market and also as is advertised it can be THE device for every requirement.

  628. give me the droid bionic with an unlocked bootloader & ICS and i’ll be a happy fella…im a sucker for moto hardware

  629. i would choose the galaxy s 2 because i love the size and shape of the phone i found it fits well in the hand, i love the big beautiful display and the amazing hardware and i love how easy it is to live with and the fantastic developer community and i think its a phone that will age well

  630. i would love to live with galaxy nexus. its sexy. its exquisite. its sweet.
i would even bed with galaxy nexus cos its far more seductive and demanding than any human gal who has ever existed

  631. I know it’s too late but I would go with the epic 4g touch. powerful, great screen, and smooth as butter. I filled my app storage with over 530 apps, including performance heavy live wallpapers and home replacement apps, never used an app killer, all while playing games like shadowgun, riptide, and gta3… Yet not once did I experience any sort of lag. and this is all stock. Nothing outperforms this yet, however when phones do outperform this one, there still won’t be many apps to take advantage.

  632. Fudge

  633. HTC Desire Z because it has a proper keyboard, nice design and a cool OS  :)

  634. Samsung Gaaxy S II. It’s my first android phone since 2008. I was an iPhone loyal since them but I was disappointed with apple. They try to deliver what the people wants but every year so you ave to upgrade. With my Galaxy S II, I got everything I want from a phone. Fast, reliable, very user friendly, and 90% of the market is free. Please don’t take me wrong with this, I always will support the hard work of the people who make things for the android community. I’m glad I give a chance to my Galaxy. I’m a beleiver. I will be an android fan forever.

  635. I would choose the Samsung Galaxy S2. I’ve never owned an Android and that would be the first one I’d go with. It’s powerful, fast, sleek and very functional. It has everything I need in a phone and then some.

  636. The Galaxy Nexus ofc, because he’s the most recent and he has NFC, which I think will because a hot feature in the near future!

  637. It would be an HTC Rezound…Love love love htc!!! The sense is always and thats why

  638. Galaxy nexus. Latest and greatest. And I’m sure I’ll get the new OS asap.

  639. The gnex..cause I won it in a contest and will cherish it forever..thanks

  640. I’d say the HTC HD2…  it’s an incredible phone and although the hardware is dated, the community is still finding ways to install new o/s on it!

  641. galaxy nexus because it’s the latest and would have the longest life.

  642. Galaxy Nexus…runs stock android

  643. If I weren’t on verizon I’d say the galaxy note, but since I am, it would have to be the Galaxy Nexus because you have pure android.

  644. Even though I’m late, the galaxy s2, right size, right power, all the features I ever wanted….though indestructible would be a nice addition.

  645. Whatever the latest and greatest android phone was loaded with mysword…

  646. my old htc magic

  647. I want to say Galaxy Nexus simply because I want one soooooooooooooooo bad, but I haven’t actually used one yet.

So I’d have to say the Samsung Galaxy SII.  The phone is super fast and has 2GB of RAM.  The display is huge and the sharpness and bright colors are amazing.

  648. Nexxus uno. Mexicos illegal version until the dream act passes. You can get it in the US but you get no paperwork with it…

  649. Galaxy nesux. Because it is the latest and greatest literally. Pkus because it is pure Android experience which will have suppirt for a long time.

  650. Samsung Galaxy Nexus

  651. Casio G’zOne Commando. May seem like an odd choice but since were talking about lifetime, updates from both google and the modding community will only last so long.. Therefore I’d like a phone that’s durable, easy to handle, comfortable in the hand and capable of being used abroad

  652. I think it would be Panasonic Lumix 101P by Softbank. Its has a full featured digital Camera 13.1MP camera gosh!!! It can be used underwater as well. Sadly its only in Japan.

  653. HTC EVO 3D, This phone totally rocks, super fast, Sense 3.0, awesome screen and 3D camera with incredible 3D glassless playback of both video and stills. What phone can top that?

  654. in this moment my choice will be the samsung galaxy s2 with its straordinary power and
easiness of use…but we know that android needs costant innovation and development…

  655. i think the galaxy nexus would be great because the HD screen would be amazing to watch movies on, I can root it so it can become evean more coustamizable and its just so beautiful.

  656. The HTC Rezound because it’s a great media machine; at least can be temporarily rooted; and has solid 4G.

  657. I think it would be the LG Optimus Slider.  I love the Optimus V but really do want the QWERTY keyboard.

  658. Galaxy note, because it is a ……….whole……..GALAXY!!!

  659. “Galaxy Note” with all its goddies.

  660. The HTC Rezound looks pretty awesome, the front facing camera is 2MP and it has the bells and whistles I’d want. Plus there’s a sponsored article right above the comments. Subliminal messaging compels me…

  661. The Galaxy Nexus because of carrier freedom and the dev support.

  662. I guess I’d keep my Droid X.  I’ve been off contract since May and I’m still happy with it.  It’s kept me from going upgrade crazy throughout the last month of Verizon releases, and it still has developer support.  Probably have ICS on the DX before most newer phones!  Plus the battery life is still great!

  663. Nexus One… perfect size

  664. Would have to be the Galaxy S2 or the HTC Sensation….lil bit of everything

  665. Galaxy Nexus, because it’s pure stock android and nexus phones get all of the updates first

  666. Definitely the Galaxy Nexus.  On the best network, great specs, and can now support Google Wallet!

  667. I would have a HTC phone,because it’s awesome!
