4.5 Inch 720p Motorola XT928 (Dinara) Announced, Could Be Headed for AT&T

12

Motorola has finally announced the Dinara – officially known as the xT928 – for China Telecom. The device is no slouch as it touts a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, a 4.5 inch 720p display, a 13 megapixel camera capable of shooting 1080p HD video, a 1.3 megapixel front  facing camera and more.

Motorola says that it isn’t camera inside of a phone, but rather it’s a phone inside of a camera. We know well enough not to go by sheer numbers when determining camera sensor quality, but we wouldn’t mind being able to test these claims ourselves.

We may have a chance to do just that, though, as rumors have long suggested that this device will eventually get a launch on AT&T. We’ll remain hopeful anyway. Read on for full press details.

With a huge 4.5-inch touch screen with 1280×720 HD resolution, 1080p HD video capture/playback, 13-megapixel camera and Dolby® Digital Plus audio technology in a stunning package, this is mobile multimedia like you’ve never experienced it before. The Motorola XT928 will be available across China from Motorola Mobility and China Telecom this December.

With a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, apps will run much faster than single-core processor phones. Watch movies on the big, bright HD screen, which is protected by scratch-resistant Corning® Gorilla® Glass. If you want to create your own multimedia, use the 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with 1080p high-definition video capture for crisp, clear, cinematic-quality images. As if that wasn’t enough, there’s also a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. This is no camera phone; it’s a camera inside of a phone, with features like Wide Dynamic Range, which enhances photos by filtering bright and dark areas to accurately capture scenes with a wide range of light.

“The latest of China Telecom’s 3G Internet smartphones, the Motorola XT928 has great smartphone performance and imaging capabilities that surpass those of many digital cameras,” said Ma Daojie, Director of China Telecom Device Management Center. “China Telecom is well known for its strong portfolio of devices for professional users.
