Galaxy Nexus Volume Bug Identified, Fix on the Way “As Soon As Possible”

9

While the Galaxy Nexus’s volume control bug – detailed here – is annoying and rather silly, current and future Galaxy Nexus owners can rest easy knowing that the problem has been identified (it’s software related) and that a fix is on the way. No time frame was given except “as soon as possible,” though Google tends to be quite quick in these matters. [The Verge]

“We are aware of the volume issue and have developed a fix. We will update devices as soon as possible.”

  1. If it were hardware related, I doubt they’d acknowledge that to the public. I’m sure they found a workaround of some sort…so cool with me even though I wouldn’t be affected by this on vzw(if we ever do get this phone)

  2. Yay…maybe Verizon. Will details idea its good to go now

  3. Maybe they will send out the update before I get mine. Also at least this is no where near as bad as the Bad TouchScreen and 3G issues that the Nexus One had for about 4 months until HTC started sending out good replacements. Google tried and tried to solve that with updates but HTC gave me two broken phones.

  4. Yay! At least we can expect a bug free phone when it releases this December.

  5. I think it is good that verizon will be getting the nexus later next month. That way most of the known bugs will have updates and fixes. There will still be ones here and there, but for the most part major known ones will be fixed.

  6. Release the god damn phone!!

  7. Let the UK guinea pigs flush out the bugs before they release it here.

    1. Likewise with the American Kindle Fire lab rats.

  8. This phone is so fail.
