LG Prada K2 Pictured in the Wild

12

Back in August we caught a glimpse of the LG Prada K2 on video, but since then have seen little of the Android 2.3 handset. While tipsters say the design is still in flux, the phone was captured in a series of images obtained by the guys over at Phone Arena. The handset was referred to as the LG Prada P940 and is said to measure in at under 9mm thick. It also gets a 4.3-inch NOVA display (think Optimus Black), 8MP camera, and a dual-core processor of unknown clock speed. While we most likely won’t see the phone get a US release, the latest Prada is expected to launch in other parts of the world sometime this quarter. If the final design is truly in flux, we somehow don’t see that happening.

  1. LG hasn’t been too.. involved in the US phone market. I’m not sure why they don’t try to mirror Samsung in this way, because they really could do so much better…

    1. I can live without them, considering it took them six months to update FroYo to GB on the G2x after they said it’ll come within a few days of release.

Not to mention the fact that they use Fischer Price hardware for their GPS and Bluetooth components…(at least in the G2x).

Although my 3rd replacement is not restarting as number 1 and 2 were…

  2. U–G–L–Y, you ain’t go no alibi!

  3. They should name it Prada 2, advertise saying “the first touchscreen phone in the world is making a come-back,” and throw it to iCults. :)

    1. Except that touchscreen phones existed long before the LG Prada…….

  4. I like it, kinda looks like similar to Nokia’s new 800 phone. Wouldn’t be surprised if it has their Touchwiz looking overlay, which I’m not a fan of.

    1. Except that Touchwiz is from SAMSUNG…

  5. i like it

  6. To bad like the design , why are the States deprived of the great looking phones ?

    1. Because it might confuse the simple minded. I’ve read at least 3 articles in the last two weeks saying there are TOOOOO many Android releases to close together and it’s confusing the public and pissing folks off that their new shiny is “obsolete” when they buy it. I mean serious … American’s are sheep when it comes to purchases. If the media marketing machine doesn’t TELL them what to buy … they FREAK out. It’s sad.

  7. nice slick design.
