5

The powerful HTC Raider, a holiday offering once known as the Holiday, has been made official for Canada via a press release issued jointly by HTC, Bell, and Rogers. The LTE-capable device is headed to both networks. While Bell only notes the device as “coming soon,” Rogers has stated that the Raider should be arriving in stores tomorrow at a price of $149.99 on a three-year plan. Rumors put the device at $169.99 on a three-year contract with Bell, though pricing on the carrier was not confirmed.

The Raider features a 4.5-inch qHD display, 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, and 8MP camera capable of 1080p video capture. The handset has all the specs necessary for an upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich at some point in the future.

  1. Yay! another HTC phone /s

    1. HTC makes wicked good phones… I’m rocking a day 1 Droid Incredible because that phone still kicks seven different kinds of ass!

      1. I’ve owned a G1, 3gs, droid x, G2, Sensation, and GS2. I can tell you HTC is getting a new phone every week with some minor to none change instead of focusing on building a new killer phone, or putting bigger batteries, better speakers, cameras, etc.

  2. It’s kinda sad that HTC doesn’t seem to be innovating when it comes to handset design. They make nice phones but they seem to be falling behind in the design department. Even the HTC sense UI seems really dated now when compared to the stock version of Ice Cream Sandwich.

  3. 3 year?!
