Our friends manning the @VZWSupport Twitter account are back with more (seemingly reliable, this time) information. It’s regarding the DROID X2 Gingerbread’s update. They’ve confirmed that rollouts are beginning in stages over the air today. Go on, I know you want to check that update menu. It would step folks up to Android 2.3 and give them the latest version of BLUR that other dual-core MOTO owners have been using. If you don’t get it right away, just be ever patient. Or just pray to a bag of skittles it magically shows up right after you’re done here. Let us know if any of you have received it. [Droid-Life]
Nope, just verizon jumping the gun, AGAIN. Moto Support forums hasnt posted anything. And no soak test yet from what I hear either.

I agree with Matt, I have had the phone for one month and have had a problem with it. I had purchased the phone and because of a balance on my account they will not replace it till the bill is payed. So be aware that Verizon will hold that over you they were un-movable on this they say it is their policy but no where in the contract with them is this stated. It is very frustrating to deal with them in the past and I have just passed it off but I will be closing all 4 accounts with them. They have just gotten to big as have all of them that customer service is not important. I may be only one of the few to have this issue but I felt it should be voiced.

You can manually download the update. Google Gingerbread for X2 and you’ll find options. I installed manually tonight. Works great.
