T-Mobile Tout’s myTouch 4G Slide’s ‘Advanced Camera,’ Posts More Official Pics

12

The T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide is due out next month for $199.99 on-contract, and the carrier is hard at work drumming up excitement for the next entry to their longstanding myTouch line of phones. In a new post on their official Facebook page, TMo is giving us some details on what they are calling the “most advanced camera of any smartphone.” It features zero shutter lag, a backside illuminated sensor, and premium features typically reserved for standalone digital cameras. A dedicated camera button and one-touch sharing keep the lag to a minimum, letting you simply worry about capturing the sights before you.

The myTouch 4G Slide will be available in both black and khaki color and features TMo’s HSPA+ 4G data speeds. If they have their way it will not only replace your old cellphone, but will also see you chucking out that aging point-and-shoot as well.

  1. The speaker grill on the top takes away from the design and it looks cheap because of it. Otherwise it’s a decent looking phone…

  2. Hideously ugly phone.

  3. A full qwerty with an excellent camera. Root and stock this phone, and I think I see my next phone from the G2. I’ll just wait until some review about this “camera” comes out and then I’ll see. Heh heh…

    1. Yeah, an awesome camera has a lot of weight in a phone purchase (for me anyway). Its one of the reasons I found myself gravitating towards the Samsung line of phones.

Although, I’m sure there are people out there who couldn’t care less about camera quality in a phone?

  4. I’ve never understood HTC’s (or is it T-Mobile’s?) design of the Mytouch line of phones. So… hideous. For me anyway.

Then again, there are those that complain all HTC devices look alike so I’m sure someone out there will dig this. =p

    1.  It’s not a bad design.. If they had made the speaker grill black It’s size wouldn’t be as noticeable and it would actually look ok.. still no Sensation, but I could live with watching others use it… lol.

    2. Im with you. I actually think most android phones except the normal Droids (Not Xs or Incs.) and Galaxy phones are ugly…

I wish someone would make a phone as solid and good looking as the iPhone, but with Android.

      1. I wish more phones look like thinkpads.

    3. ha just like all of your pics lol

  5. I’m digging this phone.  Interested in the build quality when it comes out.  Nice to see phones that don’t have mammoth screens, so hopefully battery will be kinder.  Guess we’ll see.

  6. I am really excited for the MyTouch 4G Slide to come out.
This phone looks to be all about speed! With 4G and a dual-core processor, it
should have no problem streaming my movies and shows wherever I am! I
love being able to go anywhere I want and be able to stream live TV or recorded
shows from my 922 SlingLoaded receiver to my phone. As a customer and employee
of DISH Network, I have been using the app for a long time and it is one of the
best apps I have. I encourage anyone and everyone to take a look at http://www.besttvforme.com
to get all the information on starting an account to get your TV Everywhere! I
    can’t wait to get one!

  7. The HTC Sensation 4G was supposed to have instant photo capture, too. My phone’s taken a picture instantly maybe four times out of the few dozen times I’ve used the camera.
