Sprint Galaxy Tab Overclocked to 1.2 GHz

3

Looks like the first overclock for the Samsung Galaxy Tab has finally made its way to XDA – it’s a 200 megahertz step up past the stock 1GHz that the Hummingbird processor runs at, and initial reports seem to suggest it’s stable. The overclock has only been out since early morning so not a lot of feedback has gone up yet, but if you feel like getting your hands dirty with the Galaxy Tab and don’t mind the risk, head on over to this XDA thread for the information and goods. (We assume you’ll need to be rooted.) [Note: Sprint Tab only. Try at your own risk.] [via AC]

  3. This hardware can potentially handle 1.6Ghz. My Captivate with the same processor was stable at 1.4.
