Let’s keep this going. I’m an epic owner who is more than a little pissed samsung isn’t releasing the kernel source as they are obliged to do by joining the open handset alliance.

  5. I don’t understand how the new Samsung phones have Froyo, but Samsung’s flagship phone, the Samsung Epic, is stuck with Eclair. What a poor way to force owners to upgrade to the newest phone to have the newest Android version. Never buying a Samsung phone again because of their lack of support.

  6. If you buy this, or anything from Samsung, be ABSOLUTELY SURE that you have a good, solid warranty from the store or your provider. If not, and something happens, you are in for a horrific nightmare dealing with Samsung customer service.
I wonder if our Indian neighbors get Americans who cant speak Hindi when they need to call Samsung customer service.

I too and disappointed that other manufacturers can release Froyo and Samsung hasn’t. Even more disturbed that they have other devices with 2.2 and now 2.3. I left HTC for the EPIC… For what?!!!

  13. wow, just crossed over into the crylight zone.

  14. is this some kind of a joke?

  15. When will Samsung STOP COPYING THE IPHONE?
They need to get their own designers – HTC, Motofail, LG and SonyEricsson all manage to bring their own designs to market – so why does Samsung feel the need to copy Apple?

  16. everybody jealous about you dont have this phone
