We’ve been hearing about this phone for some time now – even that it was supposed to be launched in Italy sometime this month – but Acer has been particularly quiet on the latest in their affordable beTouch line.  Today’s announcement still doesn’t confirm anything in the way of availability, so there’s really nothing to say about it: it has Android 2.2, a 2.8-inch QVGA screen, a 3.2-megapixel camera, and a 600MHz processor. WiFi, Bluetooth, and all of the other usual connectivity options are included here. Acer beTouch E140 is also equipped with a wide series of pre-installed applications like the free Acer Spinlets streaming service that allows you to listen to the music of the most important recording labels and post it instantaneously on your favourite Social Networks. Furthermore, nemoPlayer is available to guarantee plenty of fun with multimedia contents and Acer UrFooz for creating a “virtual you” to add to your profile on social networks.

To make it the perfect companion, it has been equipped with a 3.2 megapixel digital camera to capture spur-of-the-moment snapshots, an FM radio with RDS so you won’t miss your favourite programmes even while travelling, and a 1300 mAh battery for surfing the web, calling friends, and listening to music for as long as you like. Even the technical specifications are all top notch: 3G+, HSDPA (high-speed navigation and download), WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS are all integrated.

Finally, it is perfect for managing both personal and professional e-mail accounts with readable attachments. And so you can always be updated, it’s easy to synchronize contacts with the web (via Google Cloud Sync) or with other PCs at home (via Acer Sync).
