The Samsung Galaxy Tab, like the Galaxy S before it, is coming out all over the place. And while we know the Tab will be launching through various outlets during October and November, the price at which it will be available on various carrier contracts is still a question mark in many places. One place where it isn’t a question mark is Sweden, where carrier Telenor is offering the Galaxy Tab for as cheap as free on a two-year agreement with a monthly rate of 369 SEK (about $55) and up. For a lesser commitment the tablet will cost a bit of dough, but not quite the big money that is being asked for the Tab off-contract. Any Swedes out there thinking about taking up this offer?

Jippie! Finally a price tag that doesn’t make Samsung look like apple.
Hopefully other carriers than the norweigan Telenor will offer this wonder-tab here in Sweden. Telenor is a good choice only when you search for a fast way of throwing away money… and on the top of being expensive they have a awful network coverage here in Stockholm. But on the other hand coverage is something we swedes are quite spoiled with :D
I wish I was in Sweden.
In Sweden we are used to being showed what the real cost is for the things we buy. In this example you can see that the monthly cost for the data plan is just 49 SEK and that there is an extra 270 SEK each month as well for paying off the tablet. We can choose to pay the tablet at full at the time of purchase instead if we like.

It’s not that cheap? it’s $965 for the galaxy tab. $40 of the monthly $55 is for the galaxy tab.
Awesome, here in sweden technnology is usually extremely expensive compared to other parts of europe and usa
almost all phones in sweden have some kind of “free phone” offer. just depends how much you want to fork out each month for the next couple of years.
55 a month, only crazy ppl will get this.
Don’t think so. I’ll probably wait for a wifi-only version of it (should be considerably cheaper too) and buy it directly. Already having tethering on 2.2, why fork out for yet another plan?
@ 3.Rdx…
Are you fucking kidding ?
369 Kroner = £34 a month, which means that over the life of its contract, it will cost £96 more than my galaxy S (and that was on a great contract which will go up this year for those not already signed). Complete with no money down, thats a superb deal. In this country, this device works out cheaper than an iPhone. We always knew this device would cost a fair amount because we know the hardware. This is a great price, and indeed a ways under what has been slung around.
Not bad actually. with no money down? I would grab one. and this one has a phone. right?
no chance. The models available and operating system possibilities are changing so quickly that a two-year contract would not be a good idea. I am going to wait and see what other models become available.
It’s always cheaper to by off-contract in Sweden…
And then choose your own contract of course…
@ Sam
FRom a US perspective, its too expensive.
Wifi wont support Google navigation tho. :(
