Sony Ericsson’s ‘Robyn’

7

Some photos have appeared on the web of Sony Ericsson’s new upcoming Android handset the ‘Robyn’ which also seems to feature SE’s own custom UI. The same as on the X10.

As you can see it does look very similar to the Xperia X10 but obviously much smaller. Not much is known about the ‘Robyn’ but the SE-Blog did say it is to have “a Touchscreen display, 5mp camera (with AF), 3.5 mm audio jack, USB connector, HSPA, WLAN”. They also pointed out theirs no Xperia branding on this pictured mini version and it is available in a selection of colours as you can see below…

Hopefully being smaller this will be much cheaper than the X10, could this possibly be SE’s shot of a “budget phone”?

  1. looks kinda cute, this little thing!
I think for the people out there, who didn’t need the multimedia-sized display of the X10, the approximate 2.5″ of this ‘robyn’ device would be sufficent for the most things.
and with dimensions of about 80×50 it is very handy! the question is: how thick is it? possibly thicker than the x10…

  3. i’m guessing it has an actual keyboard because typing on that screen looks like it would be a pain

  4. when is the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 coming out already its driving nuts, but the little fone would need a actual keyboard, like phoenix said.

it’s looks like they r going for the batman and robin feel,Dynamic Duo. lol

  5. Well seeing android come out with another phone is a good thing no matter how cheap it is…

  6. I agree with Mensahwatts :

‘Well seeing android come out with another phone is a good thing no matter how cheap it is…’

Some stunning phones coming out. Now Google / carriers / networks need to bite the bullet and spend some of their large pot of cash and do some TV / other advertsing, and spread the word on Android to the masses. For those punters out there that like their mobiles but all they’re seeing is a lot of stylish smartphones with hardly a mention of the Android ‘Glue’ that gels them all together.

  7. i have just got hold of one and its brilliant.
