T-Mobile Sidekick 4G Reviews
CNET "The T-Mobile Sidekick 4G continues the Sidekick's legacy as an excellent messaging device and also serves as a great entry-level smartphone."
Engadget "In many ways, the Sidekick 4G is a return to form, but in an ecosystem filled with similar Android devices, can it stand out from the crowd?"
Techno Buffalo "The recipe for the new Sidekick 4G is a pretty impressive mix Android (FroYo), a 3.5″ (480 X800) capacitive touchscreen powered by Samsung’s Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor (the same one found in the Galaxy S line)."
Android Police "Enter the Sidekick 4G, holding the same classic form factor but, this time around, rocking Android 2.2 Froyo, manufactured by Samsung, and possessing one of the wonkiest button layouts I've ever seen."
Android Central "While Sidekicks are usually associated with the younger generation, Samsung has definitely taken that voice and attempted to change it with the customized version of Android 2.2.1 that brings new features for just about anyone."
Androinica "So completing this reunion, the founders of Danger and the brains behind our beloved Android, with Samsung’s help, inspired the revamped Sidekick 4G."
Android Community "That’s right – this is the phone that all the art students who live on the South side of Minneapolis will want to be grabbing asap lest they miss the pink bus – aka they’re going to want to get the one I’ve got here, the white and pink edition. So cute!"
Into Mobile "Just when we thought the Sidekick was totally dead, T-Mobile revived the iconic handset with a new manufacturer and new mobile operating system."
Pocket Now "But the name has been resurrected with a new core: Android. Has the original concept been lost in translation, or will we see the Sidekick reborn?"
Brighthand "T-Mobile still owns the Sidekick brand, which it's now attempting to relaunch starting with a device manufacture by their partner company Samsung."
Mobile Burn "It carries the name of a heralded messaging device, some might even say "the best" messaging phone, yet it runs a modern, internet-loving smartphone operating system."
PCWorld "The Sidekick might not have the specs to compete with some of the high-end super smartphones out there, but it is excellent for social networkers or first-time smartphone owners."
PCMag "The T-Mobile Sidekick 4G is a terrific messaging smartphone with a very strong, unique design viewpoint."
Laptop Mag "Thanks to a best-in class keyboard and fast data speeds, the Sidekick 4G is a great value-priced Android phone for messaging mavens."
Phone Arena "Still placing its emphasis on the messaging and social networking oriented aspects, the reincarnated T-Mobile Sidekick 4G brings back the popular line with its new manufacturer in Samsung and involvement with the Android platform – as opposed to the forgettable Danger OS which previously powered the Sidekick."
