Samsung Acclaim (U.S. Cellular) Android phone Review
Here is a brief introduction to the android smartphone that samsung has made exclusive to the U.S. Cellular carrier. The phone is of sturdy construction is fairly quick and with a few apps it is amazing. I am by no means a professional phone handler or reviewer but i am really good at learning new things quickly. The phone comes with a 4 gig micro sd card (phone is expandable up to 32gb) Which is pretty cool. Also it comes with a travel charger and a corded headset. One con about the phone is that it does not support flash in the prepackaged browser and i am not sure if there is a way around that.Overall if your looking for a decent phone that is fairly well priced and love qwerty keyboards this is a phone for you.If there is a good response to this video i will make another showcasing a bit more of the phone. Thanks for stopping by, chad

A roadmap of when you can expect Android 2.2 on your US Cellular Android has just surfaced, and if it holds true it looks like at least one US Galaxy S device could be getting its upgrade to Froyo very soon. As it stands, the Samsung Mesmerize is slated to get the update in early [...]

Samsung Releases Froyo for US Cellular’s Acclaim

US Cellular gave us a pretty neat timeline showing when all of their Android phones would/should be getting Froyo. At least for the Samsung Acclaim, it’s about as accurate as one could hope: Samsung’s just released the Froyo update for it. (Mid-January, as promised.) Looks like you’ll need to download a Windows-only tool to apply [...]

US Cellular Provides Froyo Timeline for All Their Android Phones

US Cellular’s done the unimaginable: they’re actually updating their customers on upgrade schedules for their phones! (That tone isn’t a knock against US Cellular at all, rather against some of the other big carriers who could stand to be a bit more transparent with their upgrade schedules. Some of this looks very good, and some [...]

Black Friday Deals See Price Cuts for Phones through US Cellular, Target

In just a little over a week malls will be overrun, parking lots will transform into hell on earth, and millions upon millions of holiday-frenzied shoppers will descend upon retail outlets. While it never sounds like a fun day to go out searching for gifts, the deals always seem to make it worth it. A [...]

Today US Cellular picks up its first Android device, the exclusive Samsung Acclaim. The phone features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 3.2-inch screen, and Android 2.1. It’s priced at $99 on contract, but US Cellular is feeling generous and throwing in a second Acclaim for free should you so choose. The Android smartphone comes with the [...]

Another Shot of the Samsung Acclaim; Which One is Which?

US Cellular – one of the lesser known carriers over here in the States – announced they’d be getting the Samsung Acclaim back in early May. While we still have to wait until July for more official details, Samsung’s website – possibly in err – has leaked a shot of the device for the world [...]

First Shot of the Samsung Acclaim

US Cellular announced they would be adding another device to their Android lineup, the Samsung R880– you may know it by its common name, the Samsung Acclaim. Aside from being a full QWERTY device running Android 2.1 with a 3.2-inch HGVA screen, little was known about the device, let alone what it would look like. [...]

US Cellular Adds Samsung Acclaim To Their Android Line-Up

US Cellular jumped into the Android party when they came clean and admitted they’d be getting the HTC Desire (which was leaked via a rebate form featuring the Desire as one of the eligible devices). At that time, they announced that they had another Android device in the pipeline, as well, and that they’d let [...]
