Motorola i1 Overview
Announced at the end of March 2010, the Motorola i1 iDen AKA Opus one is the world’s first PTT (Push-To-Talk) Android Phone and the first Android-powered phone to have Opera Mobile 5 pre-installed & is tough........ Military standard tough!
The Motorola i1 is a pretty standard phone spec wise (besides the unique PTT) including a 3.1" inch touchscreen, 5 MP camera with geo-tagging and single LED flash, Wi-fi, bluetooth and A-GPS. One downside of this newly released phone is that it comes pre-installed with Android version 1.5 (Cupcake), however it is possible this will get updated to a modern version in the future - Lets hope so!
Another great thing about this handset is the fact Opera 5 mini - a powerful , fast web browser comes pre-installed allowing users to have a great browsing experience. The Motorola i1 also has some good looks with the design of the hardware buttons and the black chrome edging.
Did we mention this is military tough? It can withstand blowing rain, dust, shock, vibration, temperature extremes, low pressure, salt fog, humidity and solar radiation. Now thats what I call a tough cookie!

Motorola Confirms CLIQ XT, Adds Flipout, Charm, i1 to List of Devices Not Receiving Android Updates Hate to be all bad news bears this morning, but the Cliq XT won’t be the only device from Motorola’s lineup not receiving an Android update. Sprint’s Latest Playbook Flaunts Epic 4G, Lists Motorola i1′s Release as July 25th Unfortunately, Sprint’s latest Playbook didn’t reveal anything new regarding the Samsung EPIC 4G (like a release date and price), but the lesser-anticipated Motorola i1 seems to have gotten a final retail date. Motorola i1 Takes a Trek to Latin America The Motorola i1 has been making the rounds this week. Now word is out that it will also find its way to Latin America through NII [...]
Motorola i1 on Boost Mobile Will Be $349.99 at Best Buy One drawback to the pay-as-you-go model of Boost Mobile and other month-to-month carriers is that their system doesn’t leave much room for subsidizing handset costs, and while $349.99 for the Motorola i1 at Best Buy certainly isn’t an astronomical figure to ask for the iDEN Android, it isn’t exactly what everyone wants to be paying [...]

Along with the 3.1-inch HVGA touchscreen, 5MP camera, and [...]
Motorola i1 PTT Android Video Demo Seeing as how the Motorola i1 is the very first Push-To-Talk (PTT) Android phone, I’m MOST interest in seeing this feature demonstrated. Grab two i1′s and show us how they communicate using android and the PTT features, right? That’d be nice, but we’ll have to settle for a tour of the phone’s other features. They [...]
