Kyocera Zio Overview
The Kyocera Zio is the first Android phone from the manufacturer, introduced at CTIA 2010 in Las Vegas. The Zio is meant to attract typical phone users looking for an affordable phone that can do more - first time smartphone users perhaps.
The Kyocera Zio is on the lower end of the Android phone spectrum but still sports a 3.5-inch screen (WVGA), 3.2MP camera, Bluteooth, Wi-Fi and MicroSD slot and is powered by a 600 MHz processor.
The most attractive element of the Zio will likely be its price - presumably launching around the $200 range without a contract of any kind. The phone is CDMA and launched on Cricket and also on Sprint as the Sanyo Zio.

Samsung Transform, Kyocera Zio Headed to Sprint? Two things: firstly, Sprint’s getting the Kyocera Zio. We already know what the almighty “Cricket Android phone” is all about, but this is the first we’ve ever heard of Sprint getting it. It sits with Sprint branding alongside another supposed Android handset that we’ve never seen – the Samsung Transform. This device looks a lot [...]

Kyocera Zio Headed to Boost Mobile, Too? Late March, we learned that the Kyocera Zio (aka the M6000) would be making its way to Cricket in July. Kyocera Zio: Big Screen, Low Specs, No Price, Will Buy Kyocera is taking an interesting approach to their first Android Phone and I think it’s one that will pay off. They’ve given their Kyocera Zio a high quality 3.5-inch, 800×480 pixel screen and left the remainder of the phone’s specs in the “average” category. But at only $169 to $216 unsubsidized, the company might have [...]
