Huawei Ascend 2 Overview
The Huawei Ascend II is a mid-range follow-up to the original and it's headed for regional United States carrier this January. Other than the fact that it sports a 3.5 inch display, Android 2.3 and a 5 megapixel camera this is not a huge departure from the original.

Phone Dog Hey, I appreciate budget phones as much as the next person who lives paycheck to paycheck or someone who doesn't put too much emphasis on technology and just 'wants something that works'. I respect that niche. If you're in that position, there are some excellent options out there. The Huawei Ascend II is not one of them.
PCMag The Huawei Ascend II is only a modest refresh over the original; if you're willing to spend a bit of money, you can get a much better smartphone on U.S. Cellular.
ZDNet The Huawei Ascend II comes at an unbeatable price for an Android smartphone, but the trade-off is getting lower-end features that sometimes underperform.
