HTC One Remix 8

As phones get bigger so does the group of consumers who want more reasonably sized devices. HTC is one of several manufacturers who have released “mini” versions of their latest flagship devices. The HTC One Mini 2 is their slightly smaller version of the HTC One M8. In the U.S. the One Mini 2 can be found on Verizon as the “HTC One Remix.” We took the Remix for a spin in our full review, and we really enjoyed the device. Here are a few takeaways from our experience:

  • It has the same great design and build quality as the One M8.
  • BOOMSOUND speakers are a killer feature.
  • The 13MP camera is better than most mid-range devices, and the 5MP front cam is awesome.
  • Battery life and performance are exceptional for a mid-range device.
  • It’s not all that “mini.” In fact, it’s about the same size as the original HTC One.

For all intents and purposes the Remix is the exact same device as the One Mini 2. It is identical in every way, save for two differences.

  • Verizon has disabled the Power Saver modes.
  • There are Verizon logos on the front and back.
