HTC Desire S Overview
HTC's line of Desire phones have been wildly successful. There was the original HTC Desire, then the Desire HD and Desire Z, and now the HTC Desire S will continue the tradition of excellence. There aren't any sweeping changes from the original Desire, but several updates move the Desire S in the right direction and it should prove to be another phone consumers love.
With a 3.7-inch screen, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 5MP camera, and 3.5mm headset jack, the HTC Desire S offers a solid multimedia device. It runs Android 2.4 with HTC Sense UI and does so rather smoothly. As we said, the HTC Desire S improves an already great phone.

HTC Desire S Reviews
Engadget This time last year, HTC had two Android smartphones for the mainstream: the 3.7-inch Desire, outfitted with the latest and greatest, and the 3.2-inch Legend, which was humbler in specs but offered the novelty of an aluminum unibody construction.
Slash Gear The original HTC Desire became one of the most popular Android smartphones of 2010, a compelling balance of screen-size, functionality and pricing that convinced us in our review and continued to convince buyers throughout the year. Now, HTC is back with the follow-up, the HTC Desire S.
Phone Arena HTC have gone for incremental improvements across the board with the HTC Desire S, offering better battery life, a slimmer and lighter unibody chassis, video calling, and a good helping of Gingerbread on the inside of the phone as well as HTC Sense 2.1.
Android Central The HTC Desire S is the successor to one of HTC’s most popular European phones. The original Desire featured top specs for the time, along with a prettier, more accessible Android thanks to the HTC Sense UI.
CNET HTC's Desire S isn't the king of the hill in the way that the original Desire was. As an evolution of the Desire concept, it's still a very nice phone, but it's not a world beater.
PCWorld It's hard to believe it's been more than a year since the original HTC Desire was launched, a smartphone that put Google's Android operating system on the map in Australia. The successor to the Desire is the HTC Desire S, and it's best described as an evolution of its predecessor.
ZDNet The Desire S is an advance on last year's Desire, but not a huge one. Despite Android 2.3 and dual cameras, there might not be enough here to tempt you to upgrade.
Pocket Now The HTC Desire S is the latest in a trio of new devices out of HTC to act as successors to previously successful models--in this case, the HTC Desire.
Pocket Lint The HTC Desire was the phone of 2010. It got in early, was considerably better than the competition and by the end of the year was still very much holding its own against the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S and the Apple iPhone 4.
