Dell Streak 7 Reviews

CNET
"The Dell Streak 7 polishes Android 2.2 to a tablet-worthy shine, and is the first to deliver 4G compatibility--but it's not enough to distract us from the incoming wave of Android 3.0 tablets."
Engadget
"Let's be honest, the original Dell Streak had a bit of an identity crisis. The 5-inch device wasn't sure if it belonged in the tablet or smartphone world, and ultimately it was targeted at a pretty niche user. But its larger brother, the Streak 7, is more self-aware."
GigaOM
"The speedy network access is a plus, but the Streak 7 is lacking in many other areas as compared the Samsung Galaxy Tab, which T-Mobile currently sells for $50 more."
Slash Gear
"Packed with NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 dual core processor and a 7-inch 800×480 Gorilla Glass touch screen. Is it poised to take on the Tab?"
Tech Crunch
"Short Version: Here we go again: another impressive 7-inch Android tablet with a Gorilla Glass screen, 4G networking, and a suave interface. But is this thing more of the same or something new?"
Ubergizmo
"Dell has just introduced the Dell Streak 7, a tablet that is marketed as a potent product to work, but also to play, watch video and “be watched” in video calls."
ZDNet
"T-Mobile is rolling out the new Dell Streak 7, but even with HSPA+ and a Tegra 2 dual-core processor I would not even consider it due to the lame 800×480 pixel resolution display."
PCWorld
"A pleasing, well-balanced industrial design and a value price can't outweigh this tablet's bugs at launch, or its poor display."
PCMag
"One of the first Tegra 2 tablets, the Dell Streak 7 shows the promise of Nvidia's speedy mobile processor, but struggles in several different ways. This is not the 'droid you're looking for."
Phone Arena
"Luckily for them, they were able to snag T-Mobile’s attention and get their latest venture, the Dell Streak 7, onto the lineup of the nation’s number four wireless carrier."

Streak 7 Takes its Leave from Dell’s Product Lineup

With Dell contemplating its future in the Android tablet business, the Streak 7 has been discontinued, just as the Streak 5 before it. A quick visit to the Dell website reveals only a message that the Streak 7 is no longer available online when looking for the device. With the 10-inch Streak looking unlikely for [...]

Some Dell Streak 7 Owners already Receiving Honeycomb Update

The Dell Streak 7 is beginning to receive its update to Android 3.2 Honeycomb. Arriving earlier than expected, the new Android version is said to wipe the tablet of its saved data before installation. Other reports indicate that the 7-inch, 800×480 display might be just a bit too cramped to adequately support Honeycomb. The update [...]

Dell Isn’t Ready To Quit The Streak 7 – Android 3.2 Honeycomb Update Coming Soon

Well, I didn’t see this one coming. Remember the Dell Streak 5 and Streak 7? Well, it looks like Dell isn’t quite ready to give up on at least one of those devices. The Dell Streak 7 will reportedly see an update soon, jumping all the way from Android 2.2 Froyo, straight to Android 3.2 Honeycomb. [...]

Dell Streak 7 Now Available in the United Kingdom for £299

While we’re still hoping that this decent-looking tablet will eventually get Android 3.0, Dell’s gone ahead and made the Streak 7 available in the UK. You can pick the 7-inch tablet up for £299, but don’t let the modest price fool you: this isn’t the highest of high-end offerings. Yes, it has a Tegra 2 [...]

Dell Streak 7 WiFi Gets Certification, Goes Up For Presale on Amazon for $380

The Dell Streak 7 has been out for quite a while, but a lot of you have been holding out for a WiFi-only version to help cope with the fact that it doesn’t have Android 3.0. (At the moment, anyway.) You folks will be happy to know that the tablet sans 3G radios has gotten [...]

Dell Streak 7 Has Hidden Phone Functionality

The folks at Streak Smart have uncovered some underlying phone functionality in the Dell Streak 7, but it isn’t pretty. The dial pad doesn’t show up in landscape mode, and calls made will make phones on the other end ring but won’t actually allow you to speak to or hear the person you’ve called. Jenn [...]

T-Mobile Not Claiming the Rumored Price for the Dell Streak 7

Yesterday, it was discovered on the Dell Streak 7′s sign-up page that the device may be $330 based on fine print that stated those interested could opt to pay 4 separate installments of $82.50. T-Mobile’s chimed in to tell us that this is false as it was simply the product of a technical error. Bummer. [...]

Dell Streak 7 Price Incidentally Revealed? $330 on Contract?

Streak Smart is at it again, obsessing over yet another Dell Streak device. (I know, I say that as if there have been more than two.) This time, they actually read the fine print on T-Mobile’s coming soon page for the Dell Streak 7 and noticed a pretty revealing line of text: “$82.50 down payment, [...]

That is what an internal document snagged by TMoNews says, anyway. In other news, [...]
