ARCHOS 70 Reviews
4th Dimension Thinking
"While the resistive screens on Archos' smaller tablets are some of the most responsive I've tested, the capacitive screen on this 70 is a joy to use. My wife has already laid claim to it for her Angry Birds addiction, as the version on her iPhone is "too small!". Video viewing is a delight, with good audio from the stereo speakers. It makes a reasonable digital Photo Frame if you're charging it on your desktop and not otherwise using it. Archos appears to have learned their lesson. They have been responsive to owner complaints since it came out, with a firmware update that addressed the most major ones."

"if you're looking for a casual web-surfing and extras device, the Archos 70 is hard to beat. If you're looking for a more serious primary device, I would look elsewhere."

Techradar "We can't help but wonder if Apple has permanently stolen the thunder from Archos in the portable media game, but if you're after an Android tablet (sadly without the official App Market) then you could do worse than checking out one of these devices."

"In many ways, the Archos 70 is the best budget tablet around. It's not as good looking as the sophisticated Apple iPad or the Samsung Galaxy Tab, of course, but it is better built than the Advent Vega and is paper thin and light."

Archos 70 Internet Tablet ReviewFirst unboxing and review of the Archos 70 Internet Tablet, a $275 alternative to the $499 iPad and the $599 Samsung Galaxy Tab. I was amazed by how thin and light it was when I first took it out of the box, at 300 grams, it feels like it is empty of electronics. The capacitive touch screen on an Archos tablet is cool too, I need to get used to that. Hopefully I will learn to type on it as fast as I do with my finger-tips/nails on my resistive screens. My plan this winter is to carry this 7" Archos Android tablet with me everywhere in the inside of my jacket pocket. In this video, I try to show you multi-touch, web browsing speed, email, facebook, Google Maps Street View, Live wallpapers, video playback, HDMI output and more.
