You know a game is popular when people are making companion apps for it. That’s exactly what’s happening with Pokemon GO. Developers are creating apps to solve problems in the game. GO Extender will keep your screen on, but only if you’re playing Pokemon GO. When you close the game it will return your screen timeout to normal. On top of that, GO Extender uses your phone’s proximity sensor and device orientation to detect when it’s in your pocket or upside down. When that happens, GO Extender turns the screen black and disables touches, but the game keeps running.
This is pretty much the perfect solution. You can put your phone in your pocket and not have to worry about phantom presses. When a Pokemon is nearby you’ll still feel the vibration. The black overlay is also a big battery saver for phones with AMOLED displays (most Samsung devices). You can hatch more eggs and use less battery.

If you’re an intense Pokemon GO player, GO Extender is a must-have. Don’t waste time going into the Settings to disable the screen timeout or accidentally close the game while your phone is in your pocket.
