Android 5.0 Lollipop now on 9% of Android devices according to distribution numbers for May 2015

May 4th - Google is giving us another look at their monthly distribution numbers for the month of May. When looking at the total number of active Android devices (those that have recently pinged the Google Play Store), Android 5.0 Lollipop is now officially running on 9% of those.

Sony gives developers an official path to bootloader access on select phones

May 4th - In Sony's ongoing quest to make their phones more developer friendly, the company has opened up bootloader access for a handful of their current Android smartphones. FXP has found that Sony's official Mobile Flash tool now offers up an "Open Devices" bootloader.
