Google billboard appears to tease October 4th reveal date for new Pixel 2 phones

The followup to last year’s Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL could be right around the corner. Google has traditionally stuck to an October release schedule for their Nexus and Pixel devices, and this year looks to be no different. An eagle eyed viewer sent the above photo of a billboard in Boston to the folks at Droid-Life, showing an October 4th reveal date.

The “Ask more of your phone” tagline is most likely in reference to Google Assistant, so while it’s possible Google could be planning to announce something other than a new line of in-house smartphones — let’s be real. It’s almost definitely the day we could see the new HTC-made Google Pixel 2 and LG-built Google Pixel 2 XL.

As for the actual release date, well that could come at a later the same month, we’ll have to see.
