These Sony devices are getting upgraded to Android Oreo

0

With the release of Android Oreo for the Pixel and Nexus devices, it’s now a waiting game to see which previously released phones will get updated to Android Oreo. Thankfully, Sony has taken the guesswork out of it and has revealed which devices will be seeing the upgrade in their future. Of course, no release dates have been announced so we’ll still be waiting on that front.

Sony Phones Getting Android Oreo

  • Xperia X
  • Xperia X Performance
  • Xperia XZ
  • Xperia X Compact
  • Xperia XZ Premium
  • Xperia XZs
  • Xperia XA1
  • Xperia XA1 Ultra
  • Xperia Touch
  • Xperia XA1 Plus

Sony makes mention that the newly announced Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact will come with Android Oreo. It’s nice to see manufacturers committed to bringing a new OS to their old phones, but it would be nice to get a time table that’s a bit more refined than just “coming soon.”
