OnePlus 5 suffers stuttering issues during gaming after OxygenOS 4.5.7

[Update]: The fixed rollout is already here! Stay on the lookout for version 4.5.8, and check for it manually by heading to the Settings menu on your phone.

OxygenOS 4.5.7 has just started rolling out to the OnePlus 5, but OnePlus is already forced to halt it due to an unforeseen issue. Users of the phone report that performance while gaming takes a significant hit.

Specifically, you may notice some “stutter” in your games, which obviously ruins the day for those of you trying to reach for the stars on Super Mario Run or what have you.

OnePlus is already on the case with a fix in the works. You should see the fixes come as part of OxygenOS 4.5.8, hopefully within a reasonable amount of time.

Those of you who haven’t yet updated will be jumped straight to that version, while those who have will, unfortunately, have to suffer just a little bit longer.
